there will be no complete decentralized world as you can believe in. Already Bitcoin is regulated although Bitcoin has never been decentralized

In a completely decentralized world there would be chaos, people always talk about the advantages of Decentralized world but failed to look at the disadvantage, for people to come to consensus about issue is something that is very difficult to achieved, just look at the crypto space and see what happens with the BTC scaling issue.

Not exactly. If decentralized solutions prove to be rock-solid in maintaining the world's stability, then there should be nothing to worry about. Since Blockchain and AI are relatively new, they still have some limitations that need to be addressed over time. Despite their limitations, they can become a powerful workhorse being able to enforce the law and keep track of everything as they improve over time. Still though, a decentralized world may take some time before it becomes a reality. Even so, it seems to be more than a dream than anything else as governments and central banks are still in control.

As long as these entities exist, a decentralized world will be far from happening anytime soon. In the bright side, people will still have the choice of performing transactions and interacting with each other without middleman. But, centralization will always be there no matter how hard we try to fight against it. It's great to see how far Blockchain technology has reached, despite seeing much oppression from governments worldwide. Bitcoin, being the world's first cryptocurrency, is still facing scalability issues. The Lightning Network is far from being adopted by the mainstream world, as it's not ready in development yet.

Nonetheless, time will tell us the fate of our world as new technologies emerge which prove to be a great complement towards Blockchain tech. Just my opinion Smiley

On the contrary, I believe in a fully controlled world. Even small purchases and sales will be controlled, in fact, every step we take.

The only thing I want controlled though is the news coming out. If news are produced by a platform powered by blockchain, then we shall be able to see authenticity and accountability. Laws can be enforced. Its not going to be a perfect world still but at least we can have transparency and records can be seen by all to prove things. We're not going to be totally paperless, fiat is going to still exist side by side with blockchain.

There is no system that does not have its own side effect, and blockchain has lots of side effects too, yes blockchain can be very interesting for the features it has, but still need to be controlled to an extent, if everything operates on blockchain as you said, to the operation of government, then what will then be binding the citizens legally to government for them to be able to control them?

Believe me man, you would not want to live in a world that does not have controls, so any things will go wrong even will the economy, then our prisons will also not function and you see so many people that has committed frauds become free because there is nothing that will henceforth trace their fraudulent activities. You also talked about cashiers losing their function to AI, and then these cashiers, who would provide jobs for them?

Good point. However, I believe that AI will be in charge of the world's governance, as it takes decisions based on our behavior. Laws will be enforced by smart contracts living on a single unified Blockchain network. In a decentralized world, there won't exist notaries, cashiers, bank tellers, and most other professions performed by humans today. This is because, Blockchain along with AI will be able to do everything without the need for human intervention. It's been proven that Blockchain is extremely efficient in tracking supply chains, monetary transactions, and even proving ownership of property. On the other hand, AI is proven to be autonomous and self-sufficient taking decisions on its own like a human being.

All of this, would transform our world for the better as human corruption and fraud comes to an end. The government would be operated by AI, but elected by the people as they vote within the Blockchain. Law enforcement (police) would be performed by bots controlled by AI. Using surveillance systems like cameras, and even voice recognition, AI can perform efficiently in preventing our society from breaking the law. As for prisons, it can also be managed by AI using bots. No one will be able to escape, as AI will see everything across cameras and other means.

In the case of cashiers, they will be fully automated powered by AI and Blockchain tech. Since there won't be need for human intervention, most jobs that are performed today by humans will become completely replaced by bots using said technologies. The only jobs existent in a decentralized world, would be developers/programmers, technicians and other areas related to CS and IT.

Nonetheless, a decentralized world seems to be a dream nowadays as governments have not allowed revolutionary technologies like Blockchain and AI to blossom. But, if people being to use these technologies more, then governments would have no choice but to allow them. Just my thoughts Grin

I definitely think that certain technologies lend themselves to being decentralized, e.g. IoT, the internet, logistics and data aggregation.

However certain legacy and centralized systems will be difficult to decentralize, particularly government systems and other sensitive information, since even a fraction of the whole can cause significant damage if it falls into the wrong hands.

I think it will be a world free from various forms of irregularities, unfair treatments, manipulation etc. It will be a world where users can control their assets without anyone directing them.
I believe, blockchain still have a long way to go but in the future, decentralization will be the order of the day as most people will see the truth behind it.

Agree. You can expect to see a change in how the world shifts from centralized powers, to full decentralization as people embrace freedom in every way. As I've said before, a completely decentralized world will happen if most people allow it. As they adopt newly revolutionary technologies like AI and Blockchain, society will change in ways that you've never imagined. Else, we'd still be subject to corruption, manipulation, and fraud as it has always been for a long time.

Most people are afraid of change, which is why the advancement in technology has been rather slower than usual. Despite this, there are still many powerful figures in the government that will not allow people to regain control of their lives. Which is why, Blockchain and AI may not be capable of completely transforming our world within the future. What could happen in the future though, is that governments worldwide will adopt Blockchain and AI for their own advantage. Then, the world will operate on a centralized blockchain with one-world currency to rule them all. AI will take part in many life-changing decisions, by it will be largely controlled by the government.

Nonetheless, if a completely decentralized world happens, then true freedom will be achieved like never before. Without human-based governments, and even central banks, people could finally lead their lives towards non-stop success. Just my thoughts Grin

A decentralized world may be interesting. However, to be applied in around the worldwide, it will face very difficult condition, terms, and also problem, This world includes numerous societies with different level of knowledge, technology awareness, and also society condition in each country.
So far, decentralized is also not legalized in all countries. That is why it may be difficult to apply. If it may happen, it will need a very long time later when the world with all societies inside is really ready. For now, just focus on the development of the decentralized system around the world, introducing, and also ensuring about the advantages f this kind of system.

It will be a dream come through but my fear is that people might take advantage of it and use it in a negative way just like the incessant hacks going on. Since no one's identity is known, nobody can be called to book.

Blockchain is only one of many technologies that are used by man. It is more concerned with accounting and control, as well as data processing. It cannot replace governments, banks, or anything else. This mainly concerns the safe storage and online use of large, no-data.
Blockchain will allow you to completely get away from intermediaries. and it will be in demand in those industries where so far without intermediaries can not do, including banks.

I do not think that it could be possible. Rich people government the world and they will do everything to protect their power.
But decentralized world looks like anarchy, right?  Smiley

Not exactly. A decentralized world could have its own laws and regulations, but it'll be governed by Blockchain and AI. Instead of having human-based governments, we could depend on technology itself to do everything a government is supposed to do. With the Blockchain, we could spread our votes in order to elect self-autonomous governments powered by AI. This last technology (AI) will keep track of everything we do in our lives, with the purpose of ensuring that everything is going the way it should be. Policemen (cops) would be based on robots controlled by AI.

On the other hand, Blockchain technology will maintain the integrity of the supply chain, personal & financial information, healthcare, and more. Since Bitcoin's revolutionary technology has been proven to be immutable, safe, and secure, it will enable a new era never before seen. In a decentralized world, the rich people won't have the power to do anything since it'll be egalitarian. Blockchain technology, along with AI will help achieve this.

Despite this, this seems to be quite impossible to achieve in the real world. As you've said earlier, powerful entities like the rich people, and even Banks and governments worldwide will not allow this to happen anytime soon. All they want is control over people, where they will do their best in order to prevent a fully-decentralized world from emerging in the future. They might as well limit the growth of Blockchain tech, before it becomes too big to fail. Just my opinion Smiley

It all sounds great, but now I see that cryptocurrencies and services that use cryptocurrencies are moving towards centralization. I do not believe in decentralization, freedom from banks etc., because people have always strived for independence and freedom, but throughout the history of mankind it was not possible to do this. But I know for sure that the blockchain will change our world for the better, because already now the integration of blockchain technology into various sectors of the economy improves its efficiency and ensured its growth.

In crypto, there are two types: decentralized, and centralized (like Ripple) crypto currencies; in crypto market, there are decentralized and centralized exchanges. So, in a world, there is a mixture between centralization and decentralization in crypto. I don't think we will see only one type of them, and that mixture will exist forever.

A great post.. but unfortunately the things that you have posted will remain as a dream forever. A completely decentralized world may be the best thing to happen for people like you and me. But the government and the welfare rats won't agree. And handing out this much freedom to the ordinary citizen is a nightmare scenario for the governments around the world (including the libertarian regimes such as the one we have in Switzerland).

There will be more cryptocurrency established online stores, and also for offline or local transactions. Digital currency will be propagated towards public comsumption one the fully decentralized world will be implemented by most of the people around the world. Cryber attacks from any thieves will be possible to happen, because paper money will be less in use when this time comes.

Total decentralisation won't be fully achieved, the world around has less privileged folks, areas with no electricity nor Internet connection, people who are uneducated. There are technicalities associated with decentralisation only a few understands this mass majority don't.

With Blockchain's emerging popularity, some industries industry of the world have improved for the better. This is because of the many benefits Blockchain technology provides such as transparency, and efficiency. If the world went to use Blockchain for nearly everything from finance to healthcare, then everything would behave in an autonomous and decentralized manner.

Now, imagine if Blockchain becomes so successful that it replaces worldwide governments and even central banks themselves. People will gain freedom once more, in a new decentralized world governed by the Blockchain and AI. Laws would be enforced by AI, while governance would be made from the Blockchain itself. Everyone will have a part or say in this world, being able to influence their vote with decentralized tokens or coins within one global Blockchain. Retail stores will no longer depend on cashiers, as automated systems controlled by AI will take place (powered by Blockchain to keep track of items and transactions). Banks would become non-existent as cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin and Ethereum would take over the world.

While all of this sounds more like dream, it could very well become a reality in the future if people adopt decentralized solutions at a large scale.

Nonetheless, what are your thoughts about this? Huh

It does sound like a dream or a snippet from a futuristic scifi film, but who knows? With how fast technology has changed things and is changing the way we live, there may come a time when decentralization would free us from the people controlling every aspect of our lives, like the big banks and pharmaceutical companies. It won't be without any hiccups of course. I don't think we'd make it without the human factor. And the governments and big corporations have every means to stop giving cotrol to the people.

Pursuant to what I read, an article about the future of decentralization. It clearly states that " In a decentralization future, the concept of ownership, creation, stewardship, collaboration and many other things are all fundamentally alterted. As human beings begin to realize the scarcity of a shared future, as signs of our extinction become more imminent — it will change us. It will force us to think differently about how we go about our “business-as-usual”. This may necessitate each generation have their own 2008, their own crises that they must face. Major global, economic and technological and political obstacles to overcome. Time and time again, decentralization will show the way."
Every changes has pros and cons. It is quite an ideal scenario of a sophisticated society, yet we don't know that it will have a chaos in the midst.

I think decentralized society is very unlikely.  If it can only happen at a lower level and only health services, consumer, economic management, social management.  There are many other aspects in the human world as families live together and cannot disband them.  Distributed society does not happen when we still use cash.  The rich will stop this because they keep a lot of cash and they will not give their property information to the internet.

This doesn't totally sound like a dream. It sounds like a possible utopian future, given that blockchain tech has developed a lot and lot advanced these days. Anyhow, even though it might seem possible for the entire world to use blockchain as its main system, it less likely to happen in our timeline. Decentralized government sounds illogical for the most part. Our species is a greedy one. We also want more and more power. If it's possible, each of us must have the desire to rule the world. There's where this system won't work out given the circumstances of this era. In conclusion, it is not impossible, but it is just less likely to happen soon in the near future.

I find this statement so ambitious now that crypto world is now on the process of consideraring in regulating it. While it is ideal and advantageous as it may seem, the acceptance of every country is more important now. Reality is that we need to prove first if Blockchain Technology is really helpful in the real world or just a piece of drawn theories. That is the reason why we need to support those projects that will really make a positive impact to the society, that way it will be a one step a time process for Crypto.

Sincerely I see the possibility of this coming to place on a global scale. Let's check it out, with the rate the world is advancing as well as technology nowadays data breaches is getting more serious and to an extent we are losing our privacy. Now bearing this in mind and relating it to blockchain; blockchain tends to offer solution to this and that is decentralization. So when the world gets to know all about blockchain they will have no other choice than to start using all services offered.
In my own view, a completely decentralized world will be a world where transparency and trust will be on the high side.

This will never happen. The decentralized world simply cannot exist in reality. Without a clear management economy, it will be chaos. Cryptocurrency will not replace anything with itself, especially whole governments. Cryptocurrency will be another type of means of payment, and no more. Some too exaggerate its possibilities and value.

One of the most beautiful things about blockcahin technology is transparency. Transparency is the problem with have with most government functionaries, companies, industries, firms and organizations, most especially when it comes to finance.
Once blochain technology is integrated into the system, then that problem is totally solves, but the problem is that, will they imbibe it? Most of them are afraid of doing that.

A totally decentralized world will never be possible in the real sense, I understand blockchain technology has been ameliorating several sectors globally, even though there are still some deterrent factors hindering mainstream adoption.  There is no way banks will become obsolete, this is because some transactions are better done in banks comparatively. A 100% decentralized world sounds more like an illusion, although anything is possible. If ever it comes, I'll be extremely glad to embrace it.

Sorry to say this but a completely decentralized world idea sounds like a socialism world and it's virtually impossible. Some sectors, some business should be controlled to maintain the stability and effectiveness. I would agree with you all, aside from "Banks would become non-existent". This would never happen as long as the goverments exist.

It will definitely bring positive changes especially related to government tasks, most of the governmental services and processes will become more efficient, transparent and automated with the help of blockchain technology but to be honest there are still a lot of hurdles in the adoption and implementation of blockchain in many parts of the world.

Exactly. There will be more efficiency within the mainstream world like never before. With the many benefits Blockchain technology provides, people will have full control of their lives. Imagine a society where third-parties no longer exist. There will be no human-based governments, Banks, human-based Universities, Cashiers, etc. Everything will be done by both Blockchain and AI in a fully transparent, autonomous, and decentralized manner. In gas stations, people could simply pay with cryptocurrencies without the need for a cashier.

As for Universities/Colleges, courses will be given by bots themselves while tuition and student information will be secured by the Blockchain. This opens up a world of endless possibilities where we no longer need to be subject to corruption, fraud, and economic instability. Of course, all of this looks like dream now since people are slowly adapting towards Blockchain technology and AI. But, I believe that within 20 to 30 years from now, we'll be experiencing a fully decentralized world like never before (if governments allow it).

Nonetheless, a fully decentralized world is what we need in order to live a better life. But, everything will depend on people's adoption of decentralized solutions for this to become viable soon. Just my opinion Smiley

I doubt that everything will turn out to be realized, since for example elections to the government or money transfer between corporations. Since they will not be able to falsify the elections and earn money transferring to other accounts. Since everything will become transparent. Everyone can see who he gave a vote for and how much the government has spent on building the road. I would like to see it in the future, but alas, this is not yet feasible.
