I agree that such projects will still be created. And people will try to develop them. But this is unlikely to be able to earn much. Most of the gambling platforms are created for the sake of entertainment, and respectable investors will not invest more money in them. Such projects are held only by simple gamers and, as experience shows, not for long.

So anyway, I applied as a merit source :)
This is not something new though. I remember many gaming based tokens that were launched in the mid-2017 crypto hype aka ICO craze. One such name that I can recall is Nitro

https://icobench.com/ico/nitro (I dont support this website though. They have been known to post paid reviews.)

Project had campaigns in this forum too. Did it take off? I dont think so, their roadmap is still last on 2019 which is 2years ago. Social media channels are inactive and I am sure it has become an abandonware after its lead advisors have sold off their bags. This is very common in this sector.

The concept of playing games to earn tokens, using tokens to buy stuff seems very good but never worked out in the past. Every few days a new project with the similar idea comes up but never becomes anything big.

I have just learnt about a new coin called BUFF from an online article.

Quote
BUFF is a new blockchain-based project aimed at bringing the gaming and crypto community together. The project is a straight-shooter, it rewards you for the time you spend playing the game, given how big the CSGO community is, it’s no surprise that the developer chose it to kick off their project.

What I understand is that, the developers are trying to build an ecosystem where any players will be rewarded for their time they spend on gaming. Do you think such kind of coins will be able to become successful?
