'bitstarter' is the CEO of BST , if you want any updates and any other info you can contact him.

I would assume he's reading this thread.  Wink

I would PM him, but I think many people, not just me, would appreciate concrete information.

Update: We took it to PM and I spoke personally to BinaryMage. Hopefully, I re-assured him we are on the right track! I'll get more concrete information though.

Edit ninja'd you!  Smiley

Indeed, bitstarter was professional and seemed to have a clear concept of what needed to be done. Hopefully the site will be operational soon.

Yes you did edit Ninja'd me! Thanks BinaryMage for the great conversation!

EDIT: Talked to bitstarter and sen. Sounds like this is indeed coming along, they've just hit a few hiccups along the way. It should be up and running pretty soon.

As Senbonzakura mentioned we are coming soon.

http://www.bitcoinstarter.com

So make sure to sign up to get your invite.

Now, we will be doing this in phases as we want to get projects on board before we launch to the public. It has taken us awhile to get it all sorted but we are very close to finalizing everything!  so if you have a project or know of someone who has a project that needs funding please don't hesitate to PM me  Grin

Obviously, I'll be opening up official threads in the appropriate thread forums so stay tuned! I promise its coming!  Tongue

edit #1: also, my other bitcointalk handle is "bitstarter"  I tend to use that more so feel free to send a PM there also!

edit #2:  you can find us on twitter also  @bitcoinstarter & @bitstarter  so feel free to add us also!  Grin

Some days ago game designer Tim Schafer hit the news by setting a
new record for crowdfunding. He was able to raise nearly 2 mio US-Dollars for
the development of a new adventure game called "Double Fine Adventure".

http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/66710809/double-fine-adventure?ref=search

This success proves that crowdfunding has become a real alternative
to classical ways of fundraising. Why do I mention this?
A problem for our bitcoin-economy or generally speaking for a cryptocurrency
economy is exactly the issue of funding. I am sceptical that without
law enforcement a conventional way of banking and stock exchange is possible.
Crowdfunding on the other hand does not need a high level of law enforcement.
The funding is more or less a donation, and will go mainly to projects that
serve a common cause - let's say an open source project like a bitcoin app, or a
plug-in for wordpress. With crowdfunding it could be possible to hire
programmers that get their payments in bitcoins only.

my conclusion: we need a crowdfunding platform running on cryptocurrencies
as soon as possible!
