Thanks, this is indeed my experiment.

As for the timing, Ethereum miners submit a timestamp with their block. If the timestamp is too far off, the block is not accepted. This timestamp can be accessed by contracts.

Transactions only use 45000 gas so I'm not sure L2 is worth it.

Interesting token concept.

Can you clarify how the token is able to tell when we have a full moon phase? Is it tied to a time oracle perhaps?
Because if it was connected to block number it wouldn't be accurate obviously over something that takes so long such as moon cycles.

I think such token should better be hosted on a blockchain that's cheaper than l1 ethereum though. Good luck with the experiment (if it's yours).
