That's too bad, I hope they might change the rules a bit so we could do it with LTC still a great little game going on, for the rewards and fun I can't complain. Even though diff looks a little negative right now I figure we might still turn out slightly positive for this difficulty period.

 the s-7 is around 10% or 15% of the network.

if you are a 20cent power miner your s-7 becomes very marginal at the 1700 dollar price point

I have wondered how closely the aggregate hash rate tracks BTC price. For a while BTC prices had been rising rapidly, except it has now fallen back more to a $2400-2600 range. With no obvious spike back towards $3000, might enough folks "switch off" to matter?

I don't see any real reason for a diff drop, other than the possibility of Bitmain pulling a bunch of "semi-new" production miners out of their own farm and selling them, triggering a 1-2 week short-term drop while those miners are in transit.

 Given they are sold out on their "next batch" and that's not due to ship for a while, I figured diff would be driven by the competition selling miners that AREN'T sold out as regularly.

seems we are a bunch who are quite optimistic (depends how you see it) on the difficulty change vs reality so far hahaha
