That kind of scam is really not new. Scammers have been using that method of exploiting the "lesser-informed" people in the cryptocurrency space, specifically people who join airdrops.

A few days ago, a post on my post caught my attention. The writing was one of the projects I participated in the past. "Please send us your private key so we can send you your tokens, your wallet will be sent after the conformity check". Never consider notifications from such projects. A common technique used by fraudulent projects lately.

Basic Attention Airdrop Bot:
BAT Airdrop
Please, enter the private key of your Ethereum wallet 0xfbC3922dFBe6B70E4c3fef205eC311F975beAEE7 in order to automatically sign the special encrypted message that will verify that it is actually your wallet (We will not send BAT Token to fake wallets).
Enter Your Private Key: (64 hexadecimal character)

Note: This is safe. We DO NOT use, store or collect your personal data (such as private key). This form is fully encrypted and secured by the SSL standard and MD5 hashing protocol. No one will be able to access your wallet and you can update your wallet address.
[/UpdateEthAddress]
Confirm to get more 100 BAT.

Note: I opened a new mew and registered a bot. Then I sent a private key for this wallet. Smiley
