i posted here a few weeks ago about how i wanted to get in to community service / non-profit work and was hoping to get support from the community. nobody was interested. there was like one guy who was trying to contribute something useful to the thread. everybody else would rather talk about mindless BS. have you seen the count to 21 million with images thread? people would rather contribute to that then help find a solution to hunger and homelessness. so when i say you posted in the wrong forum it's not because i don't care, it's because i already been down this road and know through experience that this community does not care. the other day some guy posted a goodbye thread that sounded like he was going to kill himself and one guy was like good i will celebrate when you're dead. it's sad to say but the truth is very few people give a fuck about anything but themselves. if you are looking for support you will not find it here and your odds of finding it elsewhere are not good either. excuse me for not being more optimistic i just say it like i see it. i salute you for thinking of others. i hope you make it happen.

Yeah unfortunately there's quite a lot of selfish Ayn Rand worshippers on this forum, I think a dedicated bitcoin forum for non-profit / charity organisations would be a great idea.

The Future Of Work
I have come up with an idea that can help change the world in a big way, the concept is simple. Obtain licensing rights to sell digital media and instead of buying a mansion, yacht and helicopter. I will use the money two ways, one reinvest in solid money making ventures. Two develop programs to bring aid to the homeless starting by deploying food banks and buying apartment communities for housing to provide homes for the families and teaming up job training and continued education programs. I understand that the disconnected members of society will each be at a different crossroad. Some will require rehab, some just need a push in the right direction. That is what I want to do I want to raise the funds by selling digital media and open the books so all contributors can see the difference we can all make when we put our minds to it.

Just think about the concept a company that makes hundreds of millions using the money to help your fellow man! Not a charity a philanthropic company that has only one goal making the world a better place. No million dollar bonus checks to executives, no huge commission checks to middle man independents just a large company that uses it's size and strength to brings the lost and misguided back to reality and helps them to become productive members of our world again.

Estimates vary: the Manhattan-based marketing and consulting firm Consect estimated ringtones generated $4 billion in worldwide sales in 2004. According to Fortune magazine, ring tones generated more than $2 billion in worldwide sales during 2005. The rise of sound files also contributed to the popularization of ringtones. In 2003 for example, the Japanese ringtone market, which alone was worth US $900 million, experienced US $66.4 million worth of sound file ringtone sales. Also in 2003, the global ringtone industry was worth somewhere between US $2.5 and US $3.5 billion. In 2009, the research firm SNL Kagan estimated that sales of ringtones in the United States peaked at $714 million in 2007. SNL Kagan estimated U.S. sales in 2008 declined to $541 million, due in part to consumers having learned how to create their own ringtones. Yet the industry still brings in about a half a billion a year and that's only on ringtones alone, there are many types of digital medias that our company can acquire the rights to sell and use the money for the cause.

So I need help, and I am reaching out to my fellow human counterparts join me in this journey and together lets make this world a better place.

100% Scam and should be removed and put in scam section. Any charity worth the time of day would not provide false information across the board. On the otherhand your good to go to start to a bitcoin miner pre-order company.

Kickstarter does not support projects that are for charity npo or not, either way I don't see a sign that says don't talk about specific things here. You may not care about other people and it may not matter to you that about 100 million people have nowhere to call home, a bed to sleep in at night or any of the things it seems you take for granted.

Their may be other people reading this topic that it may hit closer to home and they might have a different opinion than you or I on the subject. Also if you have so much free time on your hands why don't you consider what you can do to make the world a better place. Rather than bringing your negative feelings into something that is meant for the greater good.
Either way thank you for your misguided input.
