In the ecosystem of bitcoin, there is a popular saying, that, referring bitcoin itself is, “Mined by the Chinese, developed by the European and American, used by the Japanese and South Korean.” In reality, the development and application of bitcoin are active in China too. Recently, a famous Chinese bitcoin wallet app, Bixin, launched its Japanese version, claiming its official entering into the Japanese cryptocurrency market.

Bixin is a well-known bitcoin wallet in China, and it has been recognized as “Wechat for bitcoiners”. It has a similar model like Wechat, which is to convey information and value through social network. As the first of its kind at nationwide, Bixin makes it incredibly convenient to exchange, transfer, and invest in cryptocurrencies; meanwhile it supports group chats, sending red packets, etc.; Furthermore, it has features like Alipay, which supports Escrow Transaction, Zero internal transference fee, and so on. Now it's been reported that, in order to comply with a wide range of digital currency market, so as to better meet the needs of users, Bixin will support a variety of cryptocurrencies, including ETH.

Bixin has gathered a group of the earliest Bitcoin investors, evangelists and code contributors, which has made Bixin a team of blockchain tech experts. The company was founded by one of the earliest bitcoin evangelists, Gang Wu, in 2014. At the end of 2016, Bixin team launched the app, Bixin, in both Chinese and English version. With the global trending of acceptance in digital currency, Bixin has gained a highly diversified users from 67 countries. As of today, there are more than a hundred thousand users worldwide.

This April, Japanese government legalized bitcoin by recognizing it as a valid payment method, thus made the number of bitcoin users there growing exponentially. Categories in merchants who accept bitcoin ranging from grocery stores to beauty salons, almost covered all industries. According to the statistics from the biggest bitcoin exchange in Japan, bitFlyer, in a particular sector, the trading volume of bitcoin, which was contributed by female, had doubled itself in just half a year. In order to make bitcoin more widely accepted, bitFlyer claimed its cooperation with MARUI GROUP on 7 Aug. 2017, made Shinjuku Marui annex the first shopping mall with bitcoin acceptance. Currently Japan is surfing on the big wave of bitcoin usage. According to the media report in Japan, the total market cap of Bitcoin in Japan (price x unit price) is over 7 trillion yen, as of 21 Aug. 2017.

Given with the situation in Japan, the COO of Bixin, Guanggeng Wu, said, "When talking about the ease of usage of an app, Bixin is no doubt one of the best applications in the world. In the near future, while we keep working on the research and exploration of bitcoin, we will also pay a certain amount of effort into the development of blockchain technology. I believe that Japanese users will be happy about the promotion of Bixin in their country, and this groundbreaking move will inspire the overall digital currency industry in China, encouraging them to explore a wider market. "

That plan is a really nice one, that is what I would regard to as market expansion, they are trying their best to win a share of the Japanese bitcoin market, and they sure will if they do the right things at the right time.

Now that’s what I would refer to as business expansion, since they are already famous in China, then getting popularity in Japan would not be difficult, infact it would bring about competition in the market and increase service delivery.
