we are not here to know each other which we can't even do knowing the number of people that exist on this forum.

So the trust system is a waste of resources, and should be deleted.

Similarly, it's a waste of time reporting sold accounts, merit traders, ICO spammers and people with no interest in Bitcoin or crypto.

I don't agree with the comments I made above, but then I believe that letting spammers consolidate their spamming into long tail threads is a good idea where some of the posts are constructive. Obviously board policy agrees with this, and this can be confirmed by looking at the index pages on many of the boards.

It looks as if the majority don't agree with me, so I'll close this thread.

No offense, but it is a totally useless idea IMO. It makes no sense to get-together the spam posts into one to just keep the board clean from them. It would eventually start another flood of spams of introductory threads where people (newbies) can introduce themselves just like the other things that has been bragged too much in the forum several times before. There is basically no need of introductions in the forum as we are not here to know each other which we can't even do knowing the number of people that exist on this forum. So adding a board or sticky thread for something that is not even a necessity would only be a waste of time and increment of spam.

Any thread on the Bitcoin Discussion board with more than a few hundred replies is a redundant spam thread with repeated and copy posted replies in my opinion.

An introduction thread on the Beginners board would consolidate the individual new threads into one place, and this would clean up the index page.

It's really just a suggestion that I am repeating. I don't visit the discussion or the beginners boards for reasons that I have already stated, so it doesn't affect me directly. Moving the newbie spam off some of the other boards would be a great help though.

Crypto Swap Exchange
It's something that I've seen in many forums, and I'm a bit embarrassed that I didn't think of suggesting it. Smiley
In addition to what "hilariousandco" mentioned earlier, those forums (crypto or non crypto) aren't similar (in terms of goals, standards and the amount of spams) to this forum (you shouldn't include those with this forum in the same category, even if they're crypto forums as well).

I think it would be a good idea, and it would save some of the clutter on the index page.
That won't result in any significant improvement (I see it as a short "pause", only).

With regard to the comment about it becoming a large spamming thread - we already have several of those, and they serve absolutely no purpose whatsoever. Why aren't those deleted? At least an intro thread would serve a useful purpose.
Then what makes you think adding another thread for spammers (not labeling all of the "Newbies") to roam around, would be a good idea? If you know several spam threads, then simply report them.

Offering Escrow 0.5 % fee
That is the answer why we don't know each other, or what our desire before joining in this forum/community.
it might be able to detect someone if their only goal is to scam the community with a grand slam super ball.

EDIT: But that would be a total waste of server memory, that's why hilariousandco is hillarious about the idea. can't you take a simple joke Huh

@Jet Cash, at first I agreed with your opinion, but after reading hilariousandco explanation... he is totally right. But I can't get rid of the feeling that somehow it would be good to have introduction thread. Maybe in the future...

My original idea was a new member introduction and questions board, and all new members would have to make at least 5 posts in it before they could move on. That didn't seem to meet with much approval though.

In the "Beginners & Help" thread, maybe there can be a stickied post at top for newbies to introduce themselves if they wish. Seems like a lot of the posts recently in that thread are just that.

I gave the guy a merit for suggesting this. It's something that I've seen in many forums, and I'm a bit embarrassed that I didn't think of suggesting it. Smiley

I think it would be a good idea, and it would save some of the clutter on the index page. It would also make an interesting reference thread.
This is a cool idea. But since most of us are using user names here in the forum, probably some would just provide information regarding them that is probably not true. But still this is quite an interesting idea.

I think it will be more better if the newbies can only make posts at beginners and help section until they reach the Junior member then it will helps to reduce lot of spams over the other section.

I guess that would discourage some of them. But in return they would only need to make 30 posts in B&H thread, and most of those posts would be forces out (shitposts) just to reach that number of 30 posts.

Mostly lot of newbies go to the bitcoin discussion and create a thread there says "What is a bitcoin " or some blah blah.

Newbies could be limited with number of new topics that they can create. And as I said in some other topic, there could be a penalty for creating shit topic. That way people would be encouraged to use search instead of creating new topics.

Then what is the purpose of beginners section.
So I think it is a good idea to restrict the newbies posting from other sections than beginners and help section.

Beginners section is here to help new people. Place where they could learn regulations of this forum, to get basic help and to understand how everything works around here. In my opinion its very useful thread, helped me a lot when i was newbie.

Introduction threads are not permitted and should be trashed so report them. 99% of intro threads are pointless really: "Hey I'm new here/to crypto and just wanted to say hi blah blah blah". Then folow it up with pages of newbs just saying variants of hi and welcome. A sticky would just be full of the same.
