how many coins they have?

some of them 100k or even more, but they are early adopter, too easy was back then

Getting thousands or tens of thousands was easy if you were here very early but getting 100K was not that easy and it was especially hard to keep it until now!

bitcoin strated at diff 1, at that diff doing a block was super easy you could have made 1000 coin a day at the very least

so 100 day and you are done, the diff back than was increasing slowly, so it's possible

If you were among the first 10 adopters and very involved.

Every user of Bitcoin matters. We are all still early adopters.

Exactly, that's what I was going to say (though I understand what OP was asking for).

Hopefully one day there will be an article with the "most important million people in bitcoin" Grin

Maybe.

But why having X coins alone makes someone important and worth following?

I didn't say it was making someone important and worth following but it makes someone influancial on Bitcoin because he is likely to be there from the beginning and to be involved in many bitcoin businesses.
