For email, I use GPG. For instant messaging on mobile, I use Signal.

Mahirap lang mag encrypt pag ang kausap o kaemail nyo hindi marunong. Otherwise, lahat naman maintindihan agad.

I don't consider it paranoid anymore, it's just normal for me to encrypt everything. Yung mga bagong kausap ko lang ang hindi encrypted.

Pag nag pa escrow ka sa aken, you should also know how to verify GPG signatures para assured ka na tama ang kontrata.

I think google accounts are more secure once verified and you have two factor authentication enabled.

I'm not sure what is a security key, but it looks like something similar to a yubikey. It uses the FIDO standard. I'm not too keen on it personally, but either 2FA with a google authenticator compatible app or that security key is much better than none at all.

Lahat ng regular accounts ko na meron "forgot password" feature, the answer to the question is as crazy as the password, so hindi pa rin mahuhula.

Tips for everyone:

1. Use a strong password, as long as practically possible. 12 to 16 characters or whatever is the limit by your bank or account. Some accounts I use 32 characters.

2. Must be randomly generated.

3. Use similar passwords for security questions if required.

Mga bitcoin addresses and private keys maganda gamitin as passwords din, cut shorter if required. (and of course do not use these addresses anymore.)

By the way, Google will not alert you if NSA is accessing your email. NSA already has access to your email.

Unless you encrypt all your messages.

Meron silang access at pinayagan ng google? Parang di naman ata papayag ang mga email sites nyan gaya na lng ng gmail.
Masyado lang talaga ata tayong paraniod kung mag-encrypt pa tayo sa lahat ng messages natin  Grin
