How would your project be any different than any other? What is your selling proposition, by that I mean why should I choose your project instead of others. This idea was done before, so you will have to have something unique to offer.

How will you ensure that the lottery happens fair and that the winners get their payment afterwards?
I would be pretty hesitant to be the first one to deposit if the website doesn't have a proven trust record.

If there was a way to ensure it was fair and that everybody gets paid their winnings, I'd play it.

Now we are working out how to make trust, or what to provide for it.

If I know of a project or bounty program that uses a lottery, with lucky numbers or random numbers. And most of the way this is supported by enthusiastic community.
This is a pretty good idea.  Smiley

Lotteries look more promising than the other projects proposed in here. I say go for it! Lotteries are one of the use cases for smart contracts that make more sense. An escrow service is another one, if you ask me.

The rest more complicated ones sound deceiving.

most important thing that you have to think about it  is how to let the people make the deposits and trust you to play at your website , so this idea is really good but you have to pay a lot for the compaign and the marketing , then you pass to the second is proving the fairness of the game . simply you have to be knowen for everybody and trustfull . good luck for the idea .

Forget first step, it can't be done that way I think.
OP don't think that you are/will be first in it. Maybe you don't know but there was similar website which had sig campaign and there was put serious work in it + they had trust from people somehow but that project/gambling website was closed.
Doubt if next one will have future..

A multi crypto lottery project.

We're a group attempting this very project, launching in a few days time. Watch https://8bet.io to see how it goes.

... the winnings are transferred to the purse from which the ticket was purchased.

This part isn't as simple as it sounds - as you can't really "send back" to the address that funds were received from. This has been discussed quite a bit on this forum.

How will you ensure that the lottery happens fair...

If you're interested in how we achieve this, see our blog posts on 8Bet: https://8bet.io/blog/how-it-all-works/

Illegal in my country without licens. (Europe, Denmark).
I would play for around 0.1eth month if payback is above 98%.

We need the opinion of the public.
A multi crypto lottery project.
You can play the lottery without registration, you can buy tickets with several crypto-currencies, the winnings are transferred to the purse from which the ticket was purchased.
