I guess it's not that important as they can create an ANN in the gambling board or to the suggested boards above. There are not enough of them. On the other hand, lightning Network has a lot of threads, queries these days while theymos yet to respond on that. Hence, I guesd theymos won't consider adding new board for blockchain game.

You just gave 3 boards where it could be fit into, right. So if someone is interested in blockchain games he would have literally go through those boards and countless posts to find what he is looking for.

Having a separate board would help to find things easier imo.
Unfortunately, creating sections with this logic applied would result in many more sections being made, and drowning out the existing ones as well as separating the existing community into smaller sub sections. It would become very tedious to scroll through all the sections, as most users either aren't aware that you can ignore sections or don't want to ignore sections when content in them might pique their interest from time to time.

Simply put; Sections should only be created once its painfully obvious that the existing sections are too broad of a term, and most importantly there is existing content currently drowning out the rest of the content in these sections. Only then, should sections be created to prevent having sections which are largely empty.

Having a separate board would help to find things easier imo.

Some boards are to crowded for new topics or niche, it's better that we have one dedicated to that niche so people who are into blockchain games can all go there and create as many topics as they like without beating the other original topics on that board.

"Blockchain gaming".   Let's take this term one step further to include games recorded on a blockchain, not just using existing blockchains as a new "pay to play" method.

I can see the potential of adding any type of game to a blockchain.  Gaming has become a profession, and we need a way to prove that Joe is "the best player ever!".

I do not think it is easy to persuade @theymos to add a new board, because it means more spam, and therefore more work for mods, or adding more mods, so that is unlikely to happen.

It happened to our local board and when we suggest a new board for the lightning network[1] [2], so unless you have a convincing reason and enough adoption/visits, I do not expect this to happen.

In short, adequate demand is the key to creating more boards? Can you give the number of topics that talk about Blockchain gaming?

Compared to the Lightning Network, quote the following:

Quote
Typically, new boards (child-boards) are created when there is adequate demand for them. Right now, I'm seeing five LN-related topics on the 1st page in Development & Technical Discussion, zero such topics on the 2nd page, four topics on the 3rd page, three on the 4th, and two on the 5th, and there are forty topics per every page. Post more LN-related content if you have something meaningful to say or ask, and in time a new child-board will be created.

The three boards would fit depending on the type of game:
micro earnings would be less than around $10/week on average but if I could be played without paying in
Games and rounds if you have to pay into it or you're wanting to target that audience
And altcoins if it's for an alt that doesn't follow bitcoin

It's up to you as a marketer to decide where best fits your platform. Equally, if you make a new board whos going to visit it? I spend quite a bit of time lurking in global new topics and I suspect a lot of others do too and also pick random boards to look at. I don't think people start here with a specific board in mind each time...

I see the said project was posted on the gambling board which I think was correct place for it. If anyone has any new game then they can just post it in the announcement board or in the project development board.

However a separate board is not going to harm anyone so yes, a seperate board would be nice but it's okay with the current settings too in my opinion.

I think it's a bit too niche to have its own board. You could put it in games and rounds or micro earnings, of its altcoin based it'll probably just fit in altcoin announcements since there isn't a gambling section there although if the site offers a stable coin - matched in price with a Satoshi for example - it could still belong in games and rounds or micro earnings.

Arcade games are still gambling at the end of the day for exple too...

I just saw this thread and figured new board for blockchain games would be good addition.

What you think?
