This nysc wey we dey see na cash cow to some people oo so na the more you look the less you go see on top this matter and dem go still continue dey update on programs about NYSC and na so money go dey go into private pocket. Sometime ago bills don come for national assembly but some members no allow the bill fly and their main argument na for national unity to continue but the question be say na how united wey we dey and how the NYSC don play dat role of unity when even when corpers are sent to some places, dey run out from there and go back to their state. Omo this NYSC matter for good make dem carry the one year money give graduate make dem take begin live as job no dey instead of wasting more money inside am.

Well hoping on a Bill that will benefit citizens of this nation is like expecting Jesus Christ second coming because allot of things must be fulfilled to make it come through and who is ready to do it, that will be a question to puzzle. Fir any Bill to be passed some prize is pay and the assembly must have their cut financially. Many bills are stock pile in the Senate assembly and rep. Untouched due to no body to finance the Bill.

Bill to take change the narrative of copper and others citizens challenges is not an issue but becoming reality is where the whole thing lies. Another challenging issue after passing bill the implementation don't come as people expected before the current allowance they paid now in NYSC the Bill was passed and it takes years before they implemented it, even some existing bill are not implemented the way they have ought to have that is why many bills is coming in as allot of bill they cut corners during implementation.

The payoff would have been a good idea, but the country where we are know what is good but they won't do it. Many times there has been clamours for improvement of Corp members welfarism but nothing has been done about it. You will never see this kind of bills scale through the national assembly. The most painful part is that those at the national assembly passed through the Nysc scheme and they saw what's it like to serve this country yet they won't do anything about it. This payoff money would have been good for ex corpers to use and start up business immediately they leave the service. If me and you have opportunity tomorrow to be in the national assembly, let's remember this thread and act accordingly.

and what's the pay off supposed to help the passing out corp members achieve? Pay thier t fair back home without any hope of gaining employed? Or that's supposed to serve as a capital for them to become self employed because because their is obviously no guarantee that they will be employed at all by the government.

It's a big problem that we are just looking for ways to spend the fiat that's in circulation but aren't concerned about creating strong and formidable systems that's bent on making our youth productive after the service year. It's true that NYSC was created for national unity and Integration but has been longed achieved and it's no longer what is the problem of the nation. What should have been the possible adjustment to the NYSC scheme should be that the one year period should possibly used for paid internship such that corp member can get hands on skills that's necessary for them to effectively blend into the work space after service and not giving them cash to squander away because most of them aren't even skilled enough to effective start up something for themselves. And the other question is, how much can the federal government give as pay off that will be enough to help them survive well after the service year?

Payoff no follow at all and if they even think of stuff like that it won't take long before they start borrowing money just for such purpose.

National youth service Corp with it's 3 batches six streams do definitely pass out graduates and should we call it
induct or employ graduates on every quarter of the year... Just like it's happening this month....  This being the case for more than 50 years now, it makes sense if the service get refurbished for the benefit of all.

Just as other government services, NYSC has helped in somany ways. Like the pension services of other government services, taking how old and helpful the corper service has been in this federal, introducing payoff service to the NYSC will help the graduates and the nation at large.....
