I would highly suggest you go the route of unfunded, numbered coins.    Whether you choose assembled, or DIY coins, that is up to you.

I'm definitely looking forward to seeing your design.

no probs man - people just need to be cautious in this space, especially the new collectors. I am all for innovation, but a compromised forum account is a HUGE red flag to me and plenty of other collectors on here.

some of the newer members need to be aware of this.

kialara, titan, smoothie and BTCC have all proven they are trustworthy with private keys.

I don't get why people would even think about buying off someone who can't even manage opsec on a forum account

Tman..thanks..never dealt with Titan and Btcc..but probably will. Is there a list out  there on who was breached or never funded the coins to begin with? That would be helpful for us all if someone created it.

And again...Yes this guy did allow his account to be breached..but if he creates a coin I will buy one regardless. Uloaded it will be and stay. I mean I prefer loaded coins..but like you pointed out..some people might not be able to handle it or a reputable reputation. But thanks for pointing all of this out..your advice is respected and well heeded

Thanks for the info Shocked...with the exception of Cas and Denarium..I personally would not buy any high end BTC loaded coins..i would buy unloaded coins though.

Just curious Krogoth but do you feel that Lealana funded coins are not trustworthy for some reason?

Keep in mind that any physical crypto coin maker could potentially keep a record of the private keys they have assembled, even from unloaded coins.  If they were unscrupulous they could just wait until the coins are funded by an end-user and sweep out the value then.  So to me funded or unfunded really makes no difference in this game.  You are always placing some amount of faith/trust in the maker of the coin.

Yep..would trust Lealana too...forgot to add him too...but when i say buy them unloaded..i will keep them unloaded..why would I load them if i dont trust them to begin with? And if i did load the coins..i would generate and place my own private key and public key.

Guys you do realise this guy had his original account compromised... if he can't look after a forum account when on earth would anyone trust him with private keys?

1. I do not have enough BTC to fund 1 BTC coins. How do I deal with this?  Roll Eyes
2. Shall I create numbered coins?
3. Any other inputs?

1. You are new/unknown as a coin maker so I doubt people will trust you enough to buy pre-loaded coin. I think a DIY version (or a very low denomination) is the best way to start.
2. Most people like numbered coins since it shows that a coin has a limited mintage.
3. I would go for an original idea/design. Using trademarked images can get you into trouble. You could share you design (via PM) with people that visit here often and ask for input.

Don't do licensed and trademarked properties.  You're asking for legal trouble.  Since you aren't known well, don't do funded coins, due to people not knowing you, and a funded 1 BTC is a barrier to many customers.  There's also FinCen issues if selling to US customers.  However there are some legal workarounds to that.

I would do serial numbers though.  Consider 1oz silver.  Custom Holograms on the back

I agree with both statements.  Dont deal with liscenced products.  Just a headache for you and shouldnt be done anyway.  Loaded coins i would stay away from especially high dollar amounts.  Less and less people would be willing to stick their nose out due to some unfortunate happenings with loaded coins (alitin, coinographic, etc) stick to unloaded coins

Edit: unless you can make the exact coin in dazedfools post.  That would be sick  Grin

How many manufacturers and what names had their coins breached? Is there a list that we can check?

You cannot sell loaded coins in the USA without a money transmitter license, nor would anyone trust someone like you with their private keys, you would have to to a BIP38 encrypted private key

Hey guys,

I fell in love with BTC and the idea of crypto because:

1. BitCoin is believable. It is not a magical currency. It is what the reality of future is.
2. BitCoin doesn't trust other currencies like $, Euro. It has it's own value.
3. BitCoin has gone through worst in his childhood, early days when it was worth nothing.
3. BitCoin is self-made. BitCoin was not powerful from the start.
4. People didn't believe in BitCoin initially, and now everyone wants it. Heck even my girlfriend wants it.
5. BitCoin has rules. Especially the community and no body can break it.
6. World needs BitCoin. People need dramatic examples to shake them out of their apathy and existing currency would not have done it. Enter BitCoin.
7. BitCoin has no limits in applications. It can save every industry and outshine any currency.

I was thinking of all these reasons. And suddenly, I had an 'Epiphany', a 'EUREKA' moment
BitCoin is nothing but "Drumrolls"

And here comes an idea of a Batman themed Physical BitCoin. Grin So I started working on this idea.  I am working on designs right now.
I will create 50 coins each fully loaded. I believe in this Btaman themed coin.

But I have few questions,

1. I do not have enough BTC to fund 1 BTC coins. How do I deal with this?  Roll Eyes
2. Shall I create numbered coins?
3. Any other inputs?

Not: I am not entirely a newbie , I have bought 5 coins, 4 from Minerjones and 1 from Fortify, paid without escrow Wink.
