Then you gotta bring that agent  side of yours mate. I just dont get the point of can they do that certain farming when they are actually removing the posts that they made. I do agree that you are just maybe getting paranoid (and as you have stated you catch those before and i assumed that those automated sig campaigns are active for new members which is not the case right now, but i am also not telling that i am right tho)

Do they delete the posts, or just edit them?

That cannot be said for sure, but I don't think it makes sense to edit previous posts if you can just submit the contents as a new post

They might be using only a part of their accounts enrolled in the same campaign at the same time. So after the enrolled account gets paid, they leave the campaign, delete some posts, enroll new accounts and then start submitting the same posts all over again. Rinse, repeat. Though I don't think it would work on a larger scale, i.e. it is hardly possible for more than one or two account farmers to use this tactic...

Otherwise, they would be quickly caught

This tactics needs a campaign where the enrollment is automated such as yobit and Bitmixer +/- coinroll
The problem is for the first one and the last one they are closed for new participants (coinroll only legendary or staff or vip after a pm confirmation)
For Bitmixer the accounts needs to be senior + and I don't think that Lauda will miss this spam
Not sure if i missed another campaign
what you already mentioned above could be true but it isn't very clear for the moment  Smiley

Maybe, it is just me being a little overly-paranoid, but in the past I caught a few members myself that had been copy-pasting other members' posts (mine included), so it is hardly the case with my memory serving me wrong. If it had been only one such "deja vu" post, I would most likely have ignored it altogether, but it was actually 3 or 4 posts that gave me an impression that I had seen them here before (but I couldn't find the original posts)...

The Matrix seems to be rebuilding itself but no one cares

Deisik, catch a couple of accounts doing that and let's have a discussion then.

Just be aware of that. "Seek, and ye shall find"

Dumbass, how does editing the posts increase it's count ? It's still the same post he would be paid for only once.
I've no idea what we're trying to discuss without any factual references.

I figured it out, they have say 100 accounts enrolled in yobit and they post the same message to each account and wait for you yobit to credit it, and then they delete it and post it on another account

No i don't think so.
Yobit counts your posts every day and afaik if you delete a post today then the next day you will start with -x posts if you delete x posts.

For example: yobitfarmer has 100 posts. Today he spammed 20 posts and get credits for it, then he deleted these 20 posts just after, the total now is 100 posts. So the next day even if he makes another 20 posts he will not get anything unless he makes +120 posts in total. This is afaik how the bot works.

You're mistaken about activity. If they delete their post they lose that activity so this wouldn't work. The only time you won't lose your rank is if you're a ledgendary (and possibly Hero). Farmers are probably just regurgitating things others have said before so that's why they might look similar.

Farmers might not know that either. I found the post which I thought was a duplicate of another post made a few hours (maybe, a day) before by someone else. I felt that I read about that "some Chinese expert" somewhere on the forum (in the original post it was "10,000", though). But I didn't find anything similar on Google (relatively new posts are not cached by Google immediately), and I decided that the original post was deleted...

This is the post I refer to (emphasis added):

New crisis will be early or later. But nobody can say exactly when. And that is the most scare.
And I also heard recently the prediction of some Chinese expert that bitcoin will reach 10 000 $ soon and that will be not the last the highest jump to bitcoin. What is going to be next? Maybe you are right abut banning bitcoin.

If I'm right after all, someone will get caught eventually

What would the point of this be?

Easy and straightforward account farming?

Say, you created 100 accounts for the sole purpose of account farming. You still need to post something, but to post something different every time in every account would be rather tedious and boring, especially if you are not going to post outright spam, but aim at making a slightly constructive post (so as not to raise suspicion and start needless discussion). In this way, you can just delete a post under one user and resubmit it from another. I guess it is even possible to make the whole process automatic
I still don't see the advantage of engaging in this kind of activity.

This will take some amount of resources and I really do not see any benefit to the farmer in doing this.

Also if the post was made by another account then the deleted post would most likely show up on google.

If I'm not confusing something, I remember some Legendary member with almost all his posts deleted, but he still remained in that rank. If what you say is true, then he should have been lowered to a newbie, right?

Legendary and hero members will not lose their ranks title even if they deleted all their posts but for the other ranks they will definitely afaik

Could anyone confirm that, or is it just me going slightly mad?

Neither me deisik can understand what is the point of theses acts
An account farmer needs to make posts as much as possible thus deleting it isn't helpful for him at all
Maybe he is testing his posts with another random account before posting it with the account in question but I would ask why?  What is the point of all of this?

Different forum ranks require different activity numbers. You achieve a new rank after having posted the required number of posts which is equal to the activity for the particular rank. So activity=number of posts for that rank. The forum bot refreshes the counter like every hour or so and when it detects a change in the values it will update the activity and rank accordingly. If you have a surplus of posts for the rank in question your activity won't change. However if you have made exactly the required posts to achieve the new rank you will lose activity points and revert back to the old rank. But spammers have a lot of surplus posts so that might not happen to them.

If what you say is true, then he should have been lowered to a newbie, right? There was a thread in Meta about stopping spam where this had been discussed. I will try to find it later unless someone authoritative comes here and has his say on this matter...

That is, whether the activity gets decreased after deleting enough posts

Wouldn't that be pointless to do because your activity goes down when you delete your posts

Activity doesn't go down when you delete your posts

Actually it does if you get a blank period of 14 days without having posted anything. Within 1 hour or so after having deleted some of these your activity will go down and you can also lose ranks this way.

Are you sure of that?

I hadn't been posting for a certain amount of time about a year ago, and my activity remained absolutely the same, i.e. it didn't decrease. Now I regret that badly, namely, that I hadn't been making at least one post within the activity period of 14 days. In this way, it should be a recent change if the activity does decrease if you stay inactive, though I'm still highly doubtful of that

During the last few days I saw a few posts made by newbies (or junior members) which were unmistakable (as I think) copies of posts made one or two days before by other such members. But when I tried searching for the original posts, I couldn't find any. I tried all possible combinations of keywords as well as Google search and nothing came up even remotely similar. The only explanation that I can come up with is that the original posts get deleted by the farmers themselves before submitting them again...

Could anyone confirm that, or is it just me going slightly paranoid?
