Proven to be effective with no side effects is a very good news for the world in that regard. But then again, how can we trust the safety of these vaccines when they are engineered and tested within what time frame? Short? Sigh

I think it's going to take a while until we know all the side effects. The informations will likely only be made public once a lot of people are vaccinated and share their symptoms online. They vaccine seems much better than the one from Pfizer with only 90% effectiveness and much lower temperature needed to be stored.

Effective vaccines is a good news but how long it will take to produce the enough amount of vaccine to vaccine the whole world people is really a big question now because this is type of diesease can affect anyone so vaccinating the whole world is important for the vaccine to be effectively working.

I believe there are 3 vaccines viable now, I can’t wait for them to start getting administered on a large scale, 2020 has been a nightmare for lots of us in so many ways. I will never take normality for granted ever again.

Lately, if I'm not mistaken, three vaccines have come out that are fighting for The high success rates in fighting the virus, however, none of the 3 talks about any side effects If I remember correctly, usually a vaccine had to be tested for at least 2 years now they are all hurrying up to go out on the market Perhaps to have the exclusivity I personally would wait before making a vaccine of which nothing is known

Befor you can make a vaccine the virus must exist. To this day SARS-CoV-19 has not been isolated, aka does not exist from scientific standpoint.
If you have scientific proof (not idiot box propaganda), be so kind and forward it.

They've said that it's provenly effective and no side effects.

But the news is confusing that there's one scientist from Pfizer that said that this won't make the world free even though there's already a vaccine from them.

I don't get why there has to be a statement like that.

Are there any side effects?

No significant safety concerns have been reported, but nothing, including paracetamol, is 100% safe.

Short lived fatigue, headache and pain were reported after the injection in some patients.

"These effects are what we would expect with a vaccine that is working and inducing a good immune response," said Prof Peter Openshaw, from Imperial College London.

How does this compare to the Pfizer vaccine?

Both vaccines use the same approach of injecting part of the virus's genetic code in order to provoke an immune response.

The preliminary data we have seen so far is very similar - around 90% protection for the Pfizer/BioNTech vaccine and around 95% for Moderna's.

However, both trials are still taking place and the final numbers could change.

Moderna's vaccine appears to be easier to store as it remains stable at minus 20C for up to six months and can be kept in a standard fridge for up to a month.

Pfizer's vaccine needs ultra-cold storage at around minus 75C, but it can be kept in the fridge for five days.

The Sputnik V vaccine, developed in Russia, has also released very early data which suggests it is 92% effective .
