Hi! I think what you are looking for is like a book type information collaboration right? Maybe right now it is not yet available, unless anyone here knows one or someone would initiate to do it. As a newbie I can suggest to you that you do self research. The data connected with coining is available, use your internet to find resources. Look in youtube, there are coaches that are willing to share their knowledge to help a newbie to learn the process. You can join to forums and groups of people that are doing the same interest with you. If you love reading, you may surf the net for lots of data.
Does anyone have a link to a good guide for someone new to this who is interested in the whole coin thing. A guide that speaks in lay man terms would be ideal.

You need to be more specific with your question.
Are you new to bitcoin or crypto currencies in general? I suggest learning about blockchain technology in general first, before going deep into crypto.

I agree, it's important that you don't invest money you cannot afford to lose, this was the key point and the other point I totally agree on and works, When you get profit, take out your initial investment and continue with profit.
What people said here is true. If you want to get one unique link explains all you questions then it is impossible. You have to ask yourself what exactly you want to know today and look for it. If you have not got such questions for yourself then just read something like Beginner and Help, it helps a lot sometimes

That will be a spoonfeed honestly. There are lots of branches to deal with these studies. But you know you don't have to learn it all now because you will know automatically while you are engaging in the world of crypto.
You can googled some of your concerns, like "what is bitcoin" "what is altcoin" "what is ICO" "(project name) bitcointalk" etc. It's way more specific rather than asking the whole. Like I said you don't need to understand all of them as basic knowledge is enough.

Thanks......All good advice but i was thinking more down the lines of a guide that tells you what to do to/where to go etc. Its not something I plan throwing a small fortune in to, not for starters anyhow lol. Small at the start and see where it takes me.
Maybe such a guide does not exist....or if one does for a price of which i will not pay. These forums may well be my guide for now.
