The painter's case is one of the few exceptional cases we've seen about accidental Bitcoin hodlers who profited. There are cases of those who lost their wallets or couldn't remember where they kept their seedphrases or PKey and as such lost every access to their wealth. However, why would the painter still want to locate the man who sent her the Bitcoin is what doesn't make sense to me. She ought to silently and quietly bask in the euphoria of her new found wealth and not expose herself.
I guess she's that just thankful and grateful that she's been pursued by that guy to receive bitcoin. Well, even me, if someone has pushed me for something that I have no idea at all and it ended up very well and profitable. I'd be grateful to that person and would do something to his favor in return.

Well, at first I thought it was all bullshit.. because the price looked wrong for the period... but I guess I was wrong... it could be factually correct. The Bitcoin price was around $13.28 at the beginning of the year and then it went up quickly to $30 in the first quarter of the year and it ended at about $100 at the end of the year.  Wink

I guess she would have pissed her panties if she sold those bitcoins when the price was at a ATH of $60 000+ a while ago. If she was clever.... she will wait until the price reach a new ATH.... and sell then.  Wink
I've watched it many times and calculated based on the information that she has mentioned and it seems really factual at all and I've obliged and believed that the story is true. And not just sort of content creator things just to push for some contents to upload on her channel. As for the follow up about her selling it, maybe she should make a video about what she did then next.

This is a turnaround story, though then it wasn't easy and i believe after receiving such payment she saved her login details properly, looking at 2013 till date about 9 years ago not everyone who could do this or possible being active with their phrase or keys and she maintain having 1btc till date, do you think she sold already or still holding?
No idea but hopefully she's still holding it or if she sold then hopefully that it was on $60k and up.

I call her lucky because she still keeps the bitcoins until the price reaches $39k. It changed her life into someone with a lot of money and she can use that money to improve her life. I wonder if she still uses bitcoin and makes it her investment or has even sold her bitcoins to look for another type of investment. I didn't find any videos explaining her using bitcoins or keeping some satoshi for long term investments. But she is indeed a very lucky woman whom we rarely see.
We all have no idea but with that experience she's got. I'm sure that she's definitely open to things about bitcoin or if another donator would ask her to receive bitcoin and possibly any other top altcoins.

Wow, that's an amazing story. The fact that the painter was still able to recollect that she had held bitcoin and the fact that she was still able to access the account in which she held the bitcoin is really amazing.
She must be really lucky that she got the access to her bitcoin. I just hope that she moved it to a non-custodial wallet because we never know if blockchain.com can be trusted with that amount.
Yeah, she's totally in luck with how long she has held that bitcoin given to her. And to know that we're aware that many folks were not able to recover their bitcoin from the past, she's one of the few that managed to successfully sell it at ATH.

Like this huge amount of crypto currency was staged on various wallets from 2013.The people from America was lucky enough to had their huge amount of bitcoin in their wallets. This story was interesting, because a poor man who do work for just 50$.With his luck,he had got the money of 65*1000 times of money from it.For this reason people was crazy about the crypto currency as compared to the live gold assets in the box of Steel in your own house.
She's not poor, she's making free paintings to her audiences and then the bitcoiner guy offered her to receive a donation in the form of bitcoin worth $50 = 1 BTC and she obliged and even studied and taught by that guy on how to make a wallet and stuff if it's real money.

if he still holds bitcoin he might be lucky for him for holding it, I hope he keeps his bitcoin up to $100k and doesn't rush to sell it because he panicked to see the price drop, enough to not see the market price for the next few years front
We all want to see other people holding bitcoin for so long. While hopefully, we're also applying that desire to ourselves that we should hold until the price of bitcoin exceeds that expectation that we've been waiting for.

Good for her! I know a friend who unfortunately forgot the password to his wallet from 2013.  Grin
Well, too many stories we knew that they've forgotten their private keys or seeds.

What A lucky man , If i were to receive at that moment? or if I even knew bitcoin that time? I would offer more paintings in return for Bitcoin  Grin
but like what is being said ? that if it is for you then its you.

50$ in bitcoin 9 years ago is indeed High price now, hope that he kept that bitcoin till the end of 2021 in which surely he made a 4-5 figures by  now.
She's a woman though. She's been appreciated by that guy because the logo she made was also great then so she deserve it. If we're going to think of it right now and recognize it as a bought painting, well, she just sold it for $39k at the time when that video was uploaded.

This simply shows the power of hodling the Bitcoin.People often criticize Bitcoin after they burn their hands while buying at highs and selling at lows, but true growth occurs only with time, be it Bitcoin or say anything else in life. True growth needs patience and diligence..

Lucky painter...
I couldn't agree more.
It's true that in investing, be it bitcoin or any other investments, patience is a must and this woman didn't even thought that she's patient enough to look at it back afrer several years has passed.

have mine also and not just one but both of them , they both received some bitcoin for an online Job back in 2014 but since they are being paid in bitcoin they just let it sit to their wallet and as time passes by and bitcoin have a little progress, then they have just ignore this and forget about it till 2017 when the price skyrocketed and interest comes to their mind , but the problem is that  the password or the key? had gone and none of them remembered theirs till now.

I also did that looking for an old wallet that I may have left there a few years ago and I found my money in the form of Dogecoin on mining sites like Eobot which have now closed their mining, but I managed to withdraw my Dogecoin money there from the mining results when the price Dogecoin is high, it is luck

Same here. except it's Bitcoin. The website which I bought from went defunct (became an adult site later on) but luckily the coins were sent to an external wallet.

Got myself some nice CSGO skin :p

The guy that asked for the paint of a Bitcoin gave her one Bitcoin as a tip, which was worth about $50 at the time.

i have once surprised myself by seeing my bittrex account had a balance worth $1,200 when the price of bitcoin hit the all time high in 2020 at $28,000 per bitcoin , that was a little amount of money back in when i opened the account at bittrex and left some bitcoins there it's just worth around $70 as well , i'm excited as hell to try to remember another wallet i left with some coins back in 2014 lol.

Interestingly enough, this is like DavinciJ15 the YouTuber who literally begged people to buy bitcoin at $1. Well, that is not bad since even as of now, bitcoin is still in the nascent stages considering its market cap. If you think 5 years into the future, you will realize that there is plenty of money to be made in Bitcoin. Invest now.
I know him and also followed him on his YouTube channel but I've just found that video of it too late. He's one of those that have been doing things on his own of promoting bitcoin but most likely only a few listened to his advices. Just like what he has been telling before, if people will do the same thing as what they've done before, there's still space that they can make money on it in the future.

The happy part of this story is that the said painter still remembers that someone once sends her $50 worth of bitcoin in her blockchain account around 2013.

In life, every little thing given to us by someone as an appreciation for our good deeds should be valued and kept safe no matter how small it is. Had it been the painter didn't remember her blockchain account password, that would have been a terrible ordeal that she will live not to forget in life.

This is supposed to serve as a lesson, that every little thing we accumulate in crypto, will someday surprise us in price when we didn't expect
Well, she's indebted to that guy because he insisted that she has to learn about the basics of accepting bitcoin since he's appreciating his artworks and even asked to make a bitcoin logo. It's going to be a different story if she has forgotten his login credentials for her account that contains bitcoin.

Epic story op. The painter was rewarded in the best way possible though she should be careful with the amount if she is still HODLING it since she is easy prey for hackers who lurk around in the darkness here and there.
I guess that after or before posting the video, she's got some enough knowledge already on how to keep it properly and how to avoid hackers that might randomly approach her about the bitcoin she has received years ago.

Many BTC HODLERS earned big money by completely forgetting about their initial investment in this manner. Lucky people!
We're unnoticingly doing the same thing by just simply holding although we don't intend to forget it. :p

I've seen the story of the painter who unexpected have a bitcoin on his coinbase account before since as far as I remember it was shared here in this forum. But this story of DavinciJ15 is pretty new to me, What a move he did back then. Imagine if someone did his advise, I'm sure that he will treasure davincij15 advise for his whole life. I just saw the youtube shorts and I think above $100,000 is a good speculation since the community is hungry to reach that price point.
There could be some other guys that have been doing the same thing as davincij and the same experience that hasn't been published yet just as Ali's.

If you think 5 years into the future, you will realize that there is plenty of money to be made in Bitcoin. Invest now.

It would be good for people to understand that Bitcoin is not just an investment with which you want to make a profit, but also that it is about something much more valuable than few people even understand or want to accept. Investment is not a bad thing, but from time to time Bitcoin should be used as a currency, which was its primary purpose.

As time goes on and the price of BTC gets higher, the players in this game will start to change, the small fish will soon cease to be relevant, and the big fish will dominate the entire market. Money will be earned, but those who already have too much money will profit the most.

Lucky painter lol. Curious if she handled Bitcoin properly or has no issue with the Blockchain wallet. We have seen a lot of allegations against Blockchain lately.
Yeah, that web wallet has got a lot of issues and bugs but it seems that she has held it there and had no problems as she has probably kept the credentials or saved it on the web and that PC or laptop of hers is still helpful when she has gained access on it.

However, this story would inspire others who are wondering to enter Bitcoin. Once a time a small bag would lead become rich. But obviously, need enough patience.
It proves that the little investment that one can do right now can be big someday but yeah, it will take a lot of time and patience.

While everyone seems to be focused on the receiving part, I think the hero of the story really is the person who requested a free painting of Bitcoin, gave a $50 worth of tip for it in Bitcoin, and went through all the trouble of educating the painter on how to receive Bitcoin and what it was, etc.

That's a great person.
I agree, little recognition for that guy as one of the early adopters and didn't even want an exposure to her video. I guess that we know why she didn't want to be part of the video for safety purposes and he might be a millionaire now. That guy was patient to her and has spread his wealth to her.

quite an interesting story

how lucky were the people who bought or owned bitcoins at that time,
but now it's never too late
there is still opportunity and hope.

and luckily the painter didn't lose or throw the bitcoins away,
because basically things or things that are not too important sometimes like to forget.
Not too late and newbies that have think that bitcoin is expensive as of this moment, they can look at such story and majority of us when we saw bitcoin's price for the first time, we have probably said the same thing on how expensive it was.

Wow! Great story! Good thing that she is not into cryptocurrency thing or she might withdraw it earlier like most people into investing. I believe blockchain.com offers accounts but under their custody. Many exchanges and email providers are now gone. And she did manage to keep her email and password for nearly a decade. That bitcoin was really meant for her and she deserves it.

I started purchasing bitcoin when it was at 3 digits price but I sold most of them when it reached 4 digits. So now, I am back on the drawing board.
Very likely that she's into it and saw that the $50 worth of bitcoin becomes a hundred or two or more then she have probably sold it and regretting it at the present that she has sold it years ago. But good thing the story for her is different and amazing.

It turned out, it was one the best painting job she did. It's also a good thing she still can access her blockchain.com account. People who didn't mind thier account since the early days forgot about it and recovering is difficult.

$50/BTC is the price of BTC in 2013. That's how fast the price had climbed to 2017. Waiting for 2025, she could get more than $60K.

Well, for an amazing investment like bitcoin, miracles are not that highly surprising. Good thing that painter never lost her access to her bitcoin, that she patiently saved her bitcoin private keys and now it’s going to bring her a big reward. Kudos to the one who donated or payed it in exchange for the painting, that man certainly knows that bitcoin has huge potentials to reach a very high price.

And yet, there are people who have invested by actually buying Bitcoin and they have "abandoned" their Bitcoins by losing/ forgetting their private keys or deleting wallets carelessly. It's a good thing to keep stuff saved, you might never know when you will need it like the painter did. Also always good to see that people were accepting or trying Bitcoin way back in 2013, she deserved the surprise.
The fact that they abandoned their investments, simply means that they are not expecting from it and keeping would only be a waste of time or money. Well, the case with the painter is quite different. She received and keep her bitcoin for a long time, without any intention to sell it or throw it away, and now she’s very surprised that her bitcoin value had gone so far. She could have made more profits than that if she have remembered bitcoin that time when bitcoin surprised us with a very significant amount way back 2017.

Yeah, at least she has done some research first on Bitcoin before she accepted it as payment and then save the private keys somewhere and the good thing is that she was not hack or something if she has written it in the PC that she has been using for the last 10 years. Or probably buy a new hardware but then back up everything. In a sense she is technical savvy I would say and that save her the problems of other people who have a lot of bitcoin before but they don't know how to save it. And with that, she has a happy ending.
I think she’s just lucky that she never forget the password to his account, otherwise she won’t have an access anymore about his bitcoin investment. Well, the good thing is, she never doubted bitcoin in the first place and just keep it the whole time, and the time she remembered it, the price made her more surprised. This kind of story has always been in the forum, and it’s just so inspiring that those who never expected huge profits in the first place are now reaping a very good amount of profits with bitcoin.

And someone has emailed her to make a bitcoin painting and the requestor has convinced her to receive his donation in the form of bitcoin. While this woman has no idea of what bitcoin is and is convinced, she just held it until last year and since we knew what was up with last year, she has checked that bitcoin wallet of hers which seems on a blockchain.com account.

This is just one of the stories of success in relation to bitcoin holding. Like, this woman has no idea of what she's about to receive as a donation. Still, after reading the explanation and being educated just through the email, she's in and held it unintentionally for several years which has blown her during the bull run and it could have gone up to $69k if she has held up to that point and sold. I have no idea what's with that bitcoin she holds now if she still has it through the bear market or sold it on high.

This is very nice, we call this kind of blessing "Miracle Blessing". That is why when we are doing something we should do with the whole of our heart, so that the day when you will be blessed, you will go home with smiling. Charity is always from the heart. After the heart then home. That is charity begins at home. She has the heart of giving that was why she was doing free painting works. Not everybody can do what she was doing.
But I have a question. If she was not familiar with bitcoin, and yet the donator sent the $50 worth of BTC, how? because at that stage she was very stranged  of the coin. Did the man (donator) open a wallet for her?
That is, she was not even aware when the the fund was sent to her. I really did not get that bolded part of the story. She did not know what was bitcoin and received it. How? who open the wallet for her?

Definitely, the painting that will definitely bring a lot of big changes in her life. Maybe there’s always a good reward if you tend to forget your investment for a long time and just remember it and start reaping only at the present time. Well, good thing if you are into long term hodling for bitcoin, because if that woman received another coin just like altcoin, then maybe it’s value would have dropped more and might even ne considered useless these days.

This only is an example of contentment and been patient. She didn't no anything about bitcoin before and she decided to collect it. She didn't mining anything bitcoin and she had got one. I congratulate her for been patient.
Not really that patient but pretty much sure that she had just recently know or been aware on whats the current price of bitcoin and remembered that she had earned something back in the past.

If you do earn $50 worth back on the day then it would be most likely forgotten if you do have other source or payment method was sent into you and with these minimal amounts on that time
for some people wont really give that kind of importance and just simply forget it.

Now, the time has come where bitcoins price is really valuable then you would definitely be coming back and trying to look for those coins.

There are many 'if' words to say about her story, she was a very lucky person to receive this much bitcoin once she received the bitcoins she could never imagine the price of bitcoin because even the most greedy people will sell the money they got for free when they get a good chance, so we cannot blame someone for selling the bitcoins that this price, however, if she could hold the bitcoin for years and years she could get much more profits over the free bitcoins she received by an accident.

This is really amazing that how $50 turned into really big amount for her after couple of years which she had completely forget about. This shows that how much profitable bitcoin is for the early investors and happy to see that she met the person also in Vegas to thank him and making her life better with that amount. Now if she had sold or even do it now she would make lot of money so believe in the power of btc and your luck.

This video was uploaded in early 2021. It was an exciting story and I want to share it here.

This is another way of showing how early investors or believers received their part of cake from their investments , though this sounds like not really a trust but an opportunity and experimental? yet that said painter is a double digit richer now .

and maybe as she continues to see the future? then keeping the said bitcoin will bring Her more confident as the price will continue to progress if she will look deeper to what is bitcoin all about and how this works for betterment of the system and the market.
This is good news and more so for the painter but this might not have necessarily been so if she probably understood Bitcoin from back then in relation to your early adopter's beliefs. Just take a look at the market and how quickly people dump their hodling any time there is negative price action in the market. A good number of early adopters most have also sold the hodlings long before now cos as we know, she didn't even remember she had it but it is a good reminder that HODLin is KEY with BITCOIN.

I would consider this another "windfall" story where luck and time are working together to make the lady painter gained a lot...with just $50 worth of Bitcoin many years or in 2013. That year will always be remembered by this woman for the lifetime. Well, that is life...many times we are surprised to see and hear myriad of amazing stories - including of course with those related to Bitcoin or cryptocurrency. I guess we should be applying for any available painting jobs these days and make sure to be receiving crypto as payment - and yes I am just joking.

Good thing she still remember that she has Bitcoin and didnt forget the keys to access her wallet.

Another success story of holding Bitcoin for years, from 2 digits value now it's worth 5 digits. She's lucky and thanks to the person who gave it to her

Probably the sender didnt also expect the value of Bitcoin that she gave to the painter to reach this high. I wonder if the sender still own some Bitcoin from the time she paid the painter, and if she also managed to hold up to now.

If the person who educated her to have a wallet and receive the tip haven't done anything and gone same as other audience of her, this could've never been a news. The credit goes to the sender and if she had taken it seriously she could've opened it long back. Now she might've understood the real value of bitcoin and it is good that she met him in person for the goodness he have done to her.

Very surprised she waited this long, and didn't think about the wallet before now.
Bitcoin millionaires are to those people who had just;

1. Remembered their wallet that they do own bitcoin
2. Hold no matter what
3. Find out those lost keys

It is really that hard to make yourself holding for a decade and watching market conditions specially
if you do own bitcoin and other altcoin. You cant really make yourself sure that you wouldnt
be selling out those coins along the way.

I don't know if the painter actually held his bitcoin or if he didn't realize that their value has gone up over the years. He missed ATH 2017 and he also missed ATH 2021, so I'm not sure how that happened to him actually profiting from his bitcoin that were originally worth $50.

I imagine how lucky are the early adopters who are willing to endure years of price volatility, they deserve the title of golden hand and of course they will really enjoy life now. The returns are fair to those who have considered the risk high, they are totally worth it. As of now, I don't have 1 bitcoin in my storage wallet yet, but I will try to have at least 1 by the middle of next year.

Lucky painter lol. Curious if she handled Bitcoin properly or has no issue with the Blockchain wallet. We have seen a lot of allegations against Blockchain lately. However, this story would inspire others who are wondering to enter Bitcoin. Once a time a small bag would lead become rich. But obviously, need enough patience.

Yeah, kind of surprising that she's able to wait for several years until she remembers that she's received bitcoin from a donator. And then from the tiny value it's got before which is two digits and then she's made it into 5 digits.

Moral of the stories is leave your coins on exchanges since it's much easier to retrieve your old account, if you leave your coins on hardware wallet and you forget your seeds, it's done /jk.

And yes, that's a joke as well
Well, we can pass that on her as she really looks completely have no idea what she's doing and good thing that when she's remembered that she's got bitcoin, blockchain.info before, just changed its domain into .com and unlike the other wallet providers, they're gone.
Lucky she was.

I would say this was a lucky situation for her , because actually she didn't have much information about Bitcoin and the assest she was paid with, and secondly to have even remembered her keys, however a lesson from this is patient, if she had sold out the Bitcoin the moment she received it she wouldn't have had this opportunity in her life time.

This same thing is applicable to some people that owns Bitcoin today that are not well informed about Bitcoin , if they holdl BTC this same thing could happen to them if Bitcoin price goes above $100k-$1M per Bitcoin in the future. Generally, holding BTC requires patient.
Yeah, like those generous people that owns bitcoin and sends their family, relatives and friends with like $5-$50 or higher amount in bitcoin then just kept it for a long time. Who knows but I'm sure that there can be the same story like hers in the nearest future.

This is what makes Bitcoin strong. Imagine getting paid in fiat money. You would lose a lot of purchasing power in 9 years it is nothing compared to 50 dollars of 2013. (Especially after covid and ukraine war). I always like that I learned about Bitcoin through 2013 to 2014. It was when noone was aware of that truck coming to their face. Now people tell me that I was right. Digital money (they said this to bitcoin before) became more valuable than -so called- real money we use.

As said by the OP, the painter didn't know what's bitcoin way back 2013 or if it will play a huge part in today's world. What amazed me the most is the fact that she still know and remember the account she made in blockchain.com, I mean, years passed by and she didn't intentionally held the bitcoin for a reason but she still remembered her account. Also, yes she's more richer now although we didn't know if she had sold it already or still holding it for the years to come.

Bitcoin owners must have a strong belief to produce extraordinary results, maybe most of the big investors who own bitcoins have long thought that owning bitcoin is an opportunity if it goes up they will profit and if not they will lose. And I don't think they will mind including those who have forgotten about it for years, because bitcoin was very cheap at the time and anyone could buy it in bulk.
such people have a strong belief and hope that the price will be fantastic in the next few years, and after a slow rise they are increasingly convinced that the price will continue to rise and also see the ever-growing developments that make them believe in bitcoin even more.
thing we should know that bitcoin is not easy to predict but must have a strong belief that it will produce amazing results, and amazing the woman because she didn't understand bitcoin at first after seeing its potential she kept sticking to it and other reasons the price on back then, he thought it was nothing, but it was gone. And he also thinks his work is so valued that he accepts bitcoin paintings and gets paid in bitcoins, and he's very lucky.

The interesting thing about this story is the painter agreed to accept btc for her work as early 2013, btc was not so popular back then and most people were not into btc acceptance.
But this painter did not mind the mode of payment which turned out to be a big blessing. I wonder if she still hold on to her btc.

I think it's completely possible Bitcoin would be worth so much than the current price and that's why we shouldn't stop to accumulating Bitcoin when it's still cheaper.

Maybe one day in the distant future, but it's not really realistic to expect that by the end of the decade the price will reach some astronomical values that could turn a $50 investment into a fortune. Even if we were talking about the price of $1 million for 1 BTC, that means an increase of x50, and that means that the one who invested $50 today would earn only $2500 in the future.

If you add to that inflation and the fact that fiat currencies are constantly losing value, then you will not be able to buy much for that money compared to what it is worth today.

And yet, there are people who have invested by actually buying Bitcoin and they have "abandoned" their Bitcoins by losing/ forgetting their private keys or deleting wallets carelessly. It's a good thing to keep stuff saved, you might never know when you will need it like the painter did.

The painter is really lucky since he can still access her old wallet while most people doesn't, they only lucky to remember if they have Bitcoin when Bitcoin still worth for few dollars.

Assuming that my broad assumption is right — the fact that she might've just saved her Blockchain.com login credentials on her browser, well, Chrome — the most used browser ever, syncs saved login credentials to your Google account by default. Everything should be backed up assuming she's using the same Google account.

What I like is that the girl in the video realized that she could use all of this for additional promotion of her YT channel, and that she gave $50 in BTC to ten of her subscribers, hoping that one day they too will turn it into their small fortune.

Well what is to be admired is that some people keep using the same Laptop/Desktop PC or any other device for such long period of time.I cannot understand it as I work as an IT and the max I keep my computer is 2 years before upgrading to a newer one,of course migrating everything.

If she has migrated everything from that time until 2021 then from me it is big kudos to her for not losing the credentials of her wallet.

Finally it is great to hear a good story about people who had held Bitcoins since early days.

For this painter i don't think discovering this Bitcoin she received many years ago is going to be the end of her Bitcoin journey, i rather think things could just be starting with her, maybe it is just the beginning because i think she is going to fully seek for knowledge about Bitcoin, there are things that could happen to us in our lives that makes us want to know more, for her this should be one of such things, if this doesn't propel her to learn every basic thing about Bitcoin, then i don't know what will.

Thus i would not even be concerned about if she has sold the huge amount she just discovered she has, but rather how much more she'd be willing to buy going forward, she's definitely a new Bitcoiner in the block, and luckily for her she didn't discover how good the Bitcoin network is in the hard way, because she could have made one silly mistake and all that funds is gone, afterall it was just $50 eh. What is the lesson of this story? Someone remembered that he received 1 BTC in 2013 and now he has discovered this wealth, so maybe everyone should check if maybe they received a similar donation once upon a time... The bad news is that 9 out of 10 people who find themselves in a similar situation will be completely helpless to make a successful recovery - and this is evidenced by hundreds of stories that I have read on this forum in the past 7-8 years.

What I like is that the girl in the video realized that she could use all of this for additional promotion of her YT channel, and that she gave $50 in BTC to ten of her subscribers, hoping that one day they too will turn it into their small fortune.

Good thing it turns out to be a story with a happy ending, I like the fact that even though she had no idea about how important bitcoins will turn out to be, she held on it and kept it safe. IMO, this is just how God and the universe wanted to reward her years of offering free services to people who definitely would have wished her well whether in their hearts or openly with statements like "GOD BLESS YOU''. I hope she doesn't stop doing good and being a good person.

The only thing I would do if I were her, and therefore what I would recommend, is not to sell everything. If she's tempted to trade it for fiat, she can sell half a Bitcoin and wait another 10 years. I'm sure it will be worth it.
He had to forget about Bitcoin again and it would be more valuable than anything if he still held Bitcoin, but indeed when he saw the current high price it was sometimes more tempting to exchange to fiat to donate or use but in fact he had managed to hold Bitcoin from the price of $50 and even higher its value.
Maybe it's because he doesn't know anything about Bitcoin so he forgot about it for a long time, even I consider this a sign that Bitcoin holders will be winners in the future for example this person who held and forgot him for years.

As you can see, even $50 can grow significantly and even now it is not too late to invest such a modest amount for years to come.
I agree and that's why people shouldn't underestimate little amounts that they'll use to buy bitcoin at these times. Maybe some the same story will be built upon in the future the same as what this woman has experienced.

The donation was done way back in 2013, that's like almost 10 years ago. Well, the video was uploaded in 2021 so that's actually 8 years later. But just the same, didn't she change computers or laptops since then?

Assuming that my broad assumption is right — the fact that she might've just saved her Blockchain.com login credentials on her browser, well, Chrome — the most used browser ever, syncs saved login credentials to your Google account by default. Everything should be backed up assuming she's using the same Google account.
Yeah, if by chance she didn't upgraded the laptop/desktop that she used. It was just saved on the browser together with her gmail accout but that's too long for that usage since she's into art. Well, the most likely is that she probably has just kept the credentials.

I respect these people who are hodling their bitcoin since 2013. The longest I was able to hodl was 2 and half years that too during the COVID situation and now I keep selling now and then whenever I need my money for my daily usage.
Though I have set up ledger now to keep saving some bitcoins. I am also putting sharing of money from the part time job and trying to hodl is as much as I could in the future.

These are the stories I need to keep learning and keep myself motivating so that I can hodl longer than usual. Lolz.

Good for the painter, afterall her artwork and hard work paid her off!
There are plenty of motivation that you can look at your own situation. Think of your dreams and what might happen in the future if bitcoin goes on a bull run and price goes up. Just don't stop saving and holding.

The only thing I would do if I were her, and therefore what I would recommend, is not to sell everything. If she's tempted to trade it for fiat, she can sell half a Bitcoin and wait another 10 years. I'm sure it will be worth it.
She's endured a lot of years not remembering that she's holding a bitcoin. But, whether she sells or not, she's in total profit no matter what the price is now but I'd say the same that it's better to hold and it will be more worth it.

She is lucky to still have access to the wallet and her luck is multiplied by accessing the wallet when the BTC price is quite high although not the highest.
There are many stories out there of how they became surprised that their crypto asset in BTC, had multiplied in value in USD due to the increase in the price of BTC, sometimes not knowing how valuable btc could make a profit.
This is just one of the many and I'm sure that there are even greater stories out there that they've found massive wealth by just forgetting/holding that they own it years ago up to present.

What I think with a person like her that don't much worry at all whether the price goes up or down, when they see the price of bitcoin goes down it's likely that she's just going to sell before it goes to zero. Just like the typical mindset of a person that haven't understand bitcoin wholly but I hope she kept it or sold around $40k or higher.

Her luck lies in the fact that they had no idea what bitcoin was and forgot about it for many years. If this had not happened, then she would have sold her btc long ago for a lower price. The plot in such stories is almost always the same: people forgot about bitcoin, remembered many years later and found an impressive amount in their wallet. This is what allows you to increase savings at btc. From which the conclusion suggests itself that if there is a goal to earn on bitcoin, then you need to buy it and put it off for many years, so as not to succumb to the temptation to sell at a low price. As you can see, even $50 can grow significantly and even now it is not too late to invest such a modest amount for years to come.

For the 1 BTC donation, she had like $67k at one point(price ATH). Noice.

The question though is, has she sold already — and if so, at what price?

Lucky for her, she didn't totally forget about it. Bitcoin at $50 for somebody who is clueless about what it is and doesn't know much about wallets, backups, private keys, etc, it might simply be forgotten. It is really good for her that she's still able to access it. She deserves it.

Even some of those who are deep into Bitcoin in its earliest years lost access to their tens or even hundreds, or perhaps even thousands of Bitcoin.

In terms of your question whether she sold or not, either way she had already made a good profit from that tip. Lucky for her that she forgot about it for some time, but not the access.

Many lost access to their Bitcoin in those early years not just because of low value but also because nobody thought it would rise this high. Many must have easily threw away hard drives containing a few Bitcoin because it was only worth a little.

This video was uploaded in early 2021. It was an exciting story and I want to share it here.

I was just browsing for some videos and have seen this painter received $50 worth of bitcoin in 2013 (1 bitcoin). This video is all about a painter that has been doing free paintings for her audience. And she was blown at first because that became around $11k in total she stated the video was made 3 months ago so basically that's on October 2020 and uploaded it on $39k ATH on January 2021.

And that made her look up to that donator and meet him in person. She's able to contact him through their mutual friend and met him in Vegas. For other details, it's on her YT channel named "Ali Spagnola" and the link is on the image/thread.

Regardless of that, she's still on the win and profit by having that value of $50 years ago and even if we're in a bear market now, it's still worth around $19k-$20k.
