From what I've read, and noticed. The merit system seems to be working fine, although early adopters, who joined the forum at its infancy stage had a clear advantage.
"Early adopters" would already have ranked up, and most likely they did so without shitposting.  I don't know if I'd consider that an advantage, since rank is only important to those people who are just here to earn money, usually by spamming.

The merit system was designed to put noob shitposters at a disadvantage, though, and it's working pretty well for that purpose.  The more barriers this forum throws up against spammers, the better IMO.

Lol, this guy probably has an account that rarely recieves merit and whine about not getting merits in the another sections.
Of course that's the case, just like every other low-ranked member who's started an idiotic thread about merits.  They want to rank up so they can get paid more, but they don't deserve to.

1) You'll never show up in this thread again1.
The dude is already gone, just like always happens.  This is a merit-fishing thread, just like all the others.

I saw a lot of topics in bitcoin discussion and economy that are more constructive and they are not receiving some merits based on what they have post.

And here is what would happen if I asked you to provide examples of such, in the order from most likely to least likely:

1) You'll never show up in this thread again1.
2) You'll respond with an irrelevant fallacy-laden rant.
3) You'll post an example of a shitpost much like your OP.

Come on, surprise me.

1 You have not engaged in any sort of dialog in your short "career" on this forum. You have not quoted anything or replied to anything, other than answering a title question of a megashitspamthread. You seem to be a fire-and-forget spammer.

Lol, this guy probably has an account that rarely recieves merit and whine about not getting merits in the another sections. Why do you want it so bad? Just like the other guy above said, theres no competetion in the merit system. Do not overthink there buddy just to get merits, be natural, share your thoughts as well as youre getting informative ideas in crypto related topics from the forum members too. Posting quality content doesnt get you an automatic merit points.

You can only bridge the gap througb quality posting and exploiting the other benefits of the group, besides merits.

You indeed get it wrong and need to rethink and adjust to get merit , though most of merits people you are seeing are the early bird that were lucky enough to be rank on monthly basis and no of post before the rules was introduced early this year, so is either you try to pick up a good topic and post or find a well structure reply to any post which might gives you merits if find encouraging to any one or some,

Apart from what has been said about OP and his shitposts:

In the last days I've observed, I saw a lot of topics in bitcoin discussion and economy that are more constructive and they are not receiving some merits based on what they have post.

Many people have those sections on ignore or they just don’t visit them, so there might be some posts there worthy of being merited but not being so because of that. And because they get hidden under lots of shitposts and shitthreads.

You joined only a week ago so you don't have a clear idea how the system is used by members
OP has very clear idea of this forum, I think you failed to notice that OP joined Bounties within 12 hours of account creation.

I know most of you are aware of the merit system.  The newly system implemented in this forum which will make us more competitive than others using our brains to make quality posts.
Oh sure, you're using your brains for bounty reports. That should get 10 merits per post IMO.
OP is able to reach that bounty section without any external guidance ,I think that deserves some merit.

is not really supporting your statement here:

You have to check the OP age before making any claims. Might be OP is only 5 year old.

I'm pretty curious about on whose Brain was the OP's using  Grin
OP may be using "plagiarist" brian.(High probality). OP main account might be permanently banned for copy pasting.

OP linkedin and facebook look Vietnamese  and twitter look arabian. OP post here in English. A  real multilingual person.

Oh! God, please freeze the hell today, if not this forum then let twitter facebook and linkedin do the KYC.

The merit system is still (somewhat) in its infancy and is far from perfect. The way the system works, only users with merit or merit sources can give merit to a thread. This means that there will always be an element of subjectivity involved as well as other human factors.
Every member gives merit based on the posts they find useful. There is no set parameters for said use and thus what one user may deem meritable, another may not. (This can further differ when both agree on its utility but would award a different number of merits).
Another aspect is human interaction. There is an increasing number of spam threads being created which means that people are less likely to view your thread. With all the posts being made, your post eventually gets buried making it harder to be noticed and credited with merit.

Well the point of this thread is, they do not even know what they are doing is a shitposting and spam, which is a bad thing to do, and what even worse is they are proud of it and asking for a merits for their "high quality" job. It looks like they do not even have a mirror to reflect their self and what they are doing, and i am pretty sure they do not even use their brain to do some self learning on how to be better.

Congratulations OP, you made it on the people "ignore list".

Imagine if people behave in real life as they do here. Watching some boobs and say "Great project madam and nice design 😍..."
LOL Grin

Why are these noobies always have the guts to rant about merit system even if they know that their post history has tons of shitposts? How can someone merit your social bounty reports? Do you think that your first long post is enough to receive even a single merit? I bet that you are just collecting other ideas in order for you to make a "looooong" post but with different construction of the sentence.

Some of us are using minds in creating posts or new thread.
That is why there are lots of repetitive replies thus creating spamthreads.

I've taken a look at your post history and...if making bounties reports is that you understand by using your "minds" (I guess you have many), then you should absolutely listen to this previous quote and get a brand new one, for the previous are not working...

You joined only a week ago so you don't have a clear idea how the system is used by members
There is no competition with the system; if members start to use "their brain to get Merits" then they have a serious problem because it doesn't work! Roll Eyes Instead, they should use their brain to think twice about what they are talking about. And just try to be a real member

What do you mean "New system" I haven't heard about it in the last 10 minutes or so.

You should do a search and see the copious amounts of data available on where merit has been given. Merit is also subjective so what you may think deserves merit others may disagree. Yes Meta does get a lot here, because this is a hub of people who are not only passionate about BTC but the forum as well. Here are a few places you can look.

Nevermind - teachable moment, use the search function and type "merit", then play around with fine tuning to cut out the thousands of posts about it.

It's really boring how people talk around merit every time, I think they care more about it than on their family, can't think otherwise. This forum itself is place to receive merits, not all of your post will get merit but that's ok. When people read here, their main aim is to get information, help others and giving merit is on a second plan.

I know most of you are aware of the merit system.  The newly system implemented in this forum which will make us more competitive than others using our brains to make quality posts. I just noticed why is there a place for receiving of merits. In the last days I've observed, I saw a lot of topics in bitcoin discussion and economy that are more constructive and they are not receiving some merits based on what they have post. I just concluded that merit points give only in the Meta and Serious discussion. And as a summary, I think that bitcoin discussion, economy and alternative cryptocurrency are for bounty hunters only. So making post their seems like no one did not acknowledge. However,  Meta and other serious discussion about the forum received some merit points because the threads in meta or other serious discussion in not be paid and they are for the wellness of the forum. I just hoping that take a look at the bitcoin discussion and economy are not shitposting. Some of us are using minds in creating posts or new thread.
