Hello,
I'm using Trust Wallet and I want to buy an Ethereum based token. What is the best option? Buy some Ethereums, then convert it to that token or buy some Tethers (ERC20), then convert it to that toke.
Which one is better?

Thank you.

When looking at these transactions from the technical side, it hardly makes any difference.
However, when it comes to costs, the use of Tether (ERC20) is a much better solution. Currently, Ethereum network transaction fees are still at a very high level.

whatever you can do with your assets but basically we are looking for the lowest transaction fees to reduce excessive spending while ETH as said:

it's less profitable considering the costs are very high but if there is a need for it, I don't think it's a problem or according to you are more prospects for profit because basically we make transactions for profit

There is a suggestion i will like to give you first if those token/coin you want to buy is listed on CEX then it is best option for you to buy there directly instead using trustapp to connect and buy token, all you have to do is to move your funds to CEX and buy hold there.
then buy with trustapp i suggest you should buy a token under BEP20 to reduced the transaction fees otherwise you can use your ERC20-USDT to buy instead of converting it to ETH.

Currently which one coin you are holding? I mean Usdt or Etehreum?
If you are holding Usdt you need to do transfer those Usdt at any exchange where you can buy your desired coins. If you are holding Ethereum then you can buy an erc20 base coin with your Trust wallet app using Dex. But for this, you need to pay a lot of Gas fees. Because transaction in Etehreum is now too much costly. It would be nice if you buy from a Centralized exchange like Binance/Kucoin. After that, you can easily withdraw your coins from those exchanges to your personal wallet(Trust). Also don't forget, For withdrawn Ethreum based coins still you need to pay fees.

Both ways works it depends on the one that you find easier for you, it's going to take same seconds to swap whatever coins or tokens to another I don't see any reason why this question is been asked instead of focus more on the exchange that will carry out the swapping operation

Use ethereum instead of USDT to do direct trade to another token. This is the best choice.

If you are gonna used uniswap, sushi swap or any dex on ethereum network. Choose the pair that are have liquidity. For example you are buying tokens with usdt pair, and you got eth as payment, it will do or a double transactions since your eth will be converted into usdt before purchasing the said tokens. But to save from fees used usdt for that matter and a little eth to cover gas fee. In that way you'll not take the burden of paying gas fee for another transaction.

If you're wanna buying ERC based token and buy it with ethereum will be far better than USDT. The main concern should be on the fees in ethereum blockchain. If you didn't know how to calculate it properly and then you will be wasting your money to pay the fees. When you're using ethereum and your fees will be easily calculated and you didn't need to spend your money to pay the fees two times.
You can buy use ethereum directly instead of using USDT. You need to avoid the fees caused by it will charge you a lot of money just to pay the fees.

buy some Tethers (ERC20), then convert it to that toke.

Use ethereum instead of USDT to do direct trade to another token. This is the best choice.

Whatever method will save you fees then do it. That's the best concern that you can ever think of because Ethereum's gas fee isn't going low but instead it's still fluctuating.
Any reason why you've chosen the method and that should because you've been saving fees and you don't want to see your transaction being stuck because you've been forced to paid a very low amount trying to save the fees.

Try to reduce the transactions as much as possible, if you can buy the token then just buy directly with the fiat because transacting the ethereum is too expensive these days, if you let us know the exact token name that you want to buy then we can assist you in finding the best trading pair with cheaper transaction fees.

Gamble responsibly
Do it as you like, you can first buy ethereum, you can also buy tether first and then convert to the token you want. I will prefer to use tether because I can easily know the value of dollar from tether which makes my calculations easier when buying because I also press my calculator to make sure everything is accurate and correct.

But why do you not just make your questions in a thread than creating another thread to ask question in less than 3 minutes
