So I started pooled mining today, set auto payout to 1BTC and when it was reached it just vanished and did not appear in my wallet.
does the wallet have to be on the mining station, or can you just have it on another computer?

you mean bitcoin client, the bitcoin client can be on any machine, should keep it running but you dont have to, itll just begin to download blocks then youll see your +1 bitcoin in there..takes awhile for confirmations as well
