Yeah, I never liked "sats"...
I think that for most altcoin satoshis, they should be referred to as shats.

If/when bitcoin goes mainstream the word "satoshi" will become a household word, yet it is way too long.  It's three whole syllables.  Even "dollar" is too long and has been given shorter nicknames like cash, buck, dough, etc.  My prediction is that satoshis will be referred to as toes, like, "I'll give ya' 30 toes for that doohickey."

You heard it here first, I think.

Unfortunately for you, the abbreviation 'sat' has already been adopted, primarily by the altcoin folks who follow coins that are so worthless that their price is expressed as tens of 'sats'.

Indeed. Everyone around here already using the sats short word. It sounds kinda cool. Could stick easily.
