Yeah, it is time for money to turn to altcoins. Which altcoins should be, it depends on what you are looking for. But, it would be safer to try top coins. Also, btc is the most important cryptocurrency to be kept in every wallet and do not forget.

Well, apart from bitcoin, the other coin I can vouch for is ethereum, eos and tron because I have studied the project so much and I can tell you boldly that they have a great future. I was once a bitcoin maximalist because I never saw any coin that had the potential to do what bitcoin has done, but when I took my time to study this coins, I discovered that they have a very great future and will be worth a lot in the nearest future.

I love bitcoin and it is always better keeping your money in bitcoins when the market is at a downward spiral (as opposed to a lot of shitty coins going down to zero). With the bears almost over, it sounds reasonable to re-organize your portfolio to include a lot altcoins. We may see a drop in bitcoin dominance and a lot of cash moving to the altcoins. Below is a snapshot of bitcoin's lowest dominance and summary of how cash moved to altcoins
(https://coinmarketcap.com/charts/)

Please what are your best 3 picks among the top 100 altcoins? Some side notes will be nice.

Binance, ethereum and MCO/CRPT. Just try to remind you to think it looks a good choice to see the potential coin like veil and any other lower or medium tier crypto like enjin too. Because the small coin should be a chance to get a huge return bit that involved a big risk.

most of you have already bought dozens of different altcoins, held for long term thinking it is a good investment and have lost a huge percentage of your investment, some as high as 95% even!

with that said, maybe it is time for you guys to change your strategies. you have already tested a certain one and failed at it. believe me i have been there myself and have lost money because of being a bag holder. now i am only holding altcoins for short term, which has meant a couple of hours in some cases too. and the ever since i started doing that i no longer lose money overall.

I believe that the best way to organize a portfolio is to understand that each project belongs to one sector. So I do not think it's worth to bet on many projects in a single industry, as they end up being direct competitors.

For example, I bet on Cardano ADA in the platforms sector. I believe it's a project with a potential greater than some of the competitors like NEO and EOS. But I also bet on Ethereum, although I believe in a smaller return. I believe in Monero as a bet for anonymous coins. It seems to be the only project really anonymous and as tough as Bitcoin. I believe in 0x as an excellent solution for DEX. Kyber and OMG also look like good projects in this sector

As for many years bitcoin always is a top 1 cryptocurrency for investing, most of the time market is follow bitcoin price, even bitcoin price falling, altcoin performance is worse than that, actually not all the altcoins suitable for long term holding, some of them finally price will went to zero, currently my best 3 altcoin from cmc top 100 is stellar, pundi x and aion.

I've always believe holding bitcoin would the best option.

I'm influenced by those altcoin folks during the all time high and I followed some of altcoins during the bear market. I've accumulated already and included ethereum to my portfolio. Highest share for bitcoin and few with altcoins, ethereum, I'm still picking for some that will catch my attention.

new crypto almost born everyday
but the fact a lot of cryptocurrencies dead now,, so if you choose bitcoin and ethereum as the safe heaven on crypto investments thats is really good decision my friend... and maybe EOS could be another options mate
Yes, a lot of cryptocurrencies has been made everyday and a lot of them becomes dead daily too.
I'm very sure with my choice and it's the best coins to get in while we're just testing the market and waiting for that moment to rise again.
I'll try about EOS but I always see the mix of good and bad review about it.

Once google have said: "we will add an ICO only for bitcoin", in that case, we can assure that google is trusting only bitcoin that will going to make the best in the market. Not considering the fact that altcoins can also do better. But the adoption of people to bitcoin is too much as its market cap is almost 90Billion dollar, compared to any altcoin, there is nothing altcoin can do about it.

Not just on any altcoins it still do your own research thing, I only divert some of my funds on stable altcoins in the market preferably in the top 10 altcoins in the market, if I am interested in a new coin I'll just participate in their bounty campaign, new coins now are having a hard time penetrating the market, you will just make your money sleep there for a long time.

I admit that bitcoin is indeed the best and the strongest, this is evidenced by the occurrence of a lot of pressure but bitcoin still has high prices, why am I saying that the price of bitcoin remains high even though the graphs are down? because the initial price of bitcoin is so cheap that if we compare it with the current price, bitcoin still has a price that is far above the initial price, for example if bitcoin is an ICO coin then the bitcoin is still above the ICO price and that is proof that the bitcoin is a strong coin

Most altcoins are for short term investment. Investing in them should make one short term investor.
Although, there are certain altcoins that will make good investment on long term basis, depending on his astute you are in switching between the altcoins and bitcoin.

actually holding ONLY bitcoin is ALWAYS the best case specially if you are not a day trader and only want to make an investment. because while bitcoin is going up OR down the rest of the altcoins will have a very poor performance because they will be dumped against bitcoin.

the only time that looking into altcoins makes the most sense is whenever bitcoin price is stable and the market has little activity (usually noticeable by drop in trading volume of BTC/USD) this indicates traders moving to altcoins to pump them so going with them can be profitable only if you know how to trade and ride the pumping waves of altcoins.
