Poor dog, but why did that policeman do that? What this dog did earlier? There is no way he almost choked that dog for nothing at all.
Assault on a police officer should be the charge. Same as it would be if a civilian did that to a K9. Take away his badge and put him in general pop with the criminals he arrested.

I'm a loving pet owner myself of four dogs. I most likely would have came out and flipped, I cannot stand seeing a helpless animal being tortured/abused, makes my skin crawl. Badges don't grant extra rights. I am very happy this has been recorded and released to the public. Just think what they do behind closed doors. And this was out in the open.
