Then I will be contributing once  this project is fully trusted and functioning well, (I'm afraid of scammers). I was actually thinking about this idea where crypto is involved. There are so many apps specially  MMORPG that is s very time consuming and waste of money. I hope that you should add some trade in it, buying weapons through Bitcoin or selling weapons or items through bitcoin.

Following OP. (CHECK)

That's the idea. You can merch equipable items through the market with other players for gold coins which can be exhanged at the bank for bitcoin on demand.

I'm kinda lured when someone is starting a Game that utilizes blockchain technology.
These kind of projects bring enthusiasm to my nerves.

I've been in many MMORPG before, what's notable is Ragnarok Online's Marketplace, a trader's practice platform. Although there are some concepts in the game that need improvement.
When you integrate a Blockchain in an Online Multiplayer Game, the chances of a hyperinflation will be tremendous. Take care of that.
Remember that games are meant for playing.

I will follow this thread for future refence.

Me too! if I had to name two of my biggest time killers online, that would be blockchain, second only in line to gaming, specifically, turn-based rpgs and strategy. Now I no longer play games, but counting all the time spent especially in my late teens and early 20s... so always feel compelled to follow these threads. I am closely following TriForce Tokens for the sort of thing you mention (RO Marketplace).

To OP:
1. Not exactly a unique approach. There have been at least two very good games I've tried out thanks to this forum, both featuring in-game use of crypto or rather, earning small amounts of them for actions completed. Only one I can remember the name right now, dragon knights, which unfortunately crashed their servers last year, so I abandoned the game. It lives on now as DK2... too lazy to google a link but you'd probably find it easily. Try it for a sample. It is exactly like how you feel a faucet would work.

2. I think you need to expand more on your problem statement, perhaps also examine why faucets are so derided, when they have played a role in widespread distribution... perhaps you can deliver better objectives and revive faucets and/or repair their reputation.

I get where you're coming from. I hope I can demonstrate my ideas in the near future. Just need a proper server so I can deploy my files and open registrations already.

For me it seems that this will look like an ico as well but on a different scheme. I'd like the idea of the shards since it will might look interesting to investors. Cool concept

I'm currently the only developer; programming, design and the future marketing behind the project.
Would you share what technology stack do you plan to use?
How do you plan to support MMORPG on browser?
What sort of networking is in plans?
What have you thought about revenue to upkeep the server costs of a mmorpg?

Please send me a PM . I am developer working on similar project would be very willing to share ideas.

What other avenues are you promoting this on? You might diversify a bit there are a lot of financial backers with crypto looking for these opportunities.

I will adjust my thread with images at a later stage. You could see it as an ICO although it only has value in the game.

It's a web-based MMORPG.

So do I have to see this like it is an ICO? Where would my shards be sended to? And is it a laptop/pc game or also for smartphone? And do you have a webpage where I can follow your progress on this faucet? A bit more info then you just sended would be much appreciated, so will wait for you to complete the thread..

A chance to be part of something new
I’d like to make you just as enthusiastic about this concept as I am. And as this project is in a very early state it may be a great opportunity
for investors and/or supporters that would like to be part of something that is completely different from other projects.

This project is here to stay and will not be discontinued.

Changelog
Code:
January 16, 2018 --
Created initial post on Bitcointalk.org

Faucets
Faucets have been around for quite a while now. In fact most of us have once earned their very first cryptocoin from a faucet and I’m not
excluding myself. The downsides of these faucets is that they only deliver small fractions of a cryptocoin and have a threshold that’s quite difficult
to achieve. Not to think about the numerous annoying advertisements that are being shown on the web pages or the hidden javascript mining
scripts that slowly feed from your CPU.

Taking it to a whole new level
I’ve developed a concept that, in theory, should create its own online economy within an environment that’s similar to the basic concepts of all
MMORPG’s; gaining experience, train ( passive ) skills, battle non-player characters ( NPC’s ) and fight other players in a perfectly balanced Player VS Player.
Every action which you perform in this game will either earn or cost you money.

Layout
The layout will be modern, however, with a lot of medieval aspects to enhance gameplay. Your health and mana will be visible at all time, same goes
for your inventory and skills to keep track of your progress at all time. Once I’ve decided what will be the actual layout I’ll show some screenshots.

Currency
The game uses the in-game currency named “gold coins”, how surprising is that. You can deposit and withdraw your gold coins at any bank in any town at
any given time for free. You may also exchange your gold coins for satoshi which are withdrawable to Faucethub at any given time as long as you exceed
the minimum payout of 500 satoshi.

Blockchain
The game uses its own fictional blockchain called “the Tree”. The Tree simply allows the players to track any transaction that’s being performed that’s using
either gold coins or satoshi. Also withdrawals to Faucethub are visible.

Shards
Shards is what we call interesting for investors. Shards cannot be obtained in-game, however, are of great influence for the game. Shards can only be
obtained before the game is actually live and can be sold and traded to players only. Shards have an initial value of $0.15 each and cannot
be sold for a price lower than its initial value. It is up to the owner of the Shard to set the price. As an investor you can purchase Shards for their initial
value until the maximum capacity has been reached or until the game goes live. Remaining Shards will be removed from the game.

Shards are finite. Once the game is live the amount sold will always be the amount that are in-game

Marketplace
The game will feature a marketplace that allows players to buy and sell items. This is also the only place where one could buy Shards after the start.
You as a player decide the price of any item you are selling.

Items
There will be numerous items, equipment and weapons that are obtainable by killing various creatures or completing quests. Although there are numerous
items, each and every item will be rather unique as they will receive a unique hash upon spawning. Items can be discarded upon players request.

...will complete the thread at a later time, thanks.
