At that school wouldn't they speak Swedish?... if so, the similarity between the sounds of "her" and "hir" in English probably will be a non-factor.

It probably sounds more like "here" than "her." But I do not much like the banning of hero/princess playing. What you should do is simply not enforce or judge the roles. If a boy wants to be rescued by the girl, that's perfectly fine, and just as valid as the boy rescuing the girl.

I'm not Swedish myself normally  boys are "ham" and girls "hende", so yes it was some kind of englishfication for the sake of argument.

I follow the thought in these experimental kinder gardens in Sweden. However just as limiting as gender stereotypes are, they are very important also for a small child testing different relations and self conception. To stay in such a self image for the rest of your life is sad though. As we are talking about women here, the leading characters in "Sex and the city" would be an example of that kind of arrested development.

Why would anyone marry him? His mother babies his life and he has been in active service = killed families in poor countries.

Gender defined roles in society is something both guys and girls learn to surpass at some point in life and we all have bunch of gender specific garbage to filter out as we grow older to be able to see our self and others as whole human beings, and not just a gender defined object. Both men and women need to be liberated in that context. Trash Feminism and let us promote gender equality as a concept instead: In legal sense, workplace rights, education.

Sweden has taken gender neutrality further, too far for some: In some Swedish kinder gardens all boys and girls are addressed with "hir" and gender specific playing is banned; no Hero, princess roles allowed.

Notice the word "hir" phonetically still sounds like "her", basically denying a generation of boys their own identity by addressing them as girls. I would cite this as an example of supremacy under the guise of equality, another method of taking the identity of boys and shredding it while carefully protecting that of the female.

Not sure how many of you guys here are Redditors, but I posted it in two subreddits:

Men's rights: http://www.reddit.com/r/MensRights/comments/15d6bh/a_mothers_letter_to_todays_women/
And twoxchromomes: http://www.reddit.com/r/TwoXChromosomes/comments/15dorp/a_mothers_letter_to_todays_women/

Men's rights seemed to like it. twoxchromosomes banned me after about ten minutes: https://i.imgur.com/jemkO.png

Edit: Wrong link to twoxchromosomes. Now fixed.

That letter seriously reminded me of a Dave Chappelle video I saw once, nice to see a woman saying this though.

I have a friend in the Philippines I regularly chat to and she describes it as "Princess Syndrome" Cheesy

Try to tell any of this to most women and and see how fast they attempt castration or make accusations of misogyny. Another fun project: see if you can find a single person you know in real life who knows the definition of the word "misandry". The confused looks and jokes about it being made up are fun.

I have a decent guess as to what misandry means, only because I lived in Greece, and in the local language there, gyn- and andr- are opposite prefixes for female and male.  In before you tell me you didn't ask me, or am derailing your thread. Smiley  I don't know if I would count as a "single person" because I'm married, unless you mean "one person", which I'd like to think I am.

I did ask my wife though, and she had no clue what it meant.

Much wisdom in that letter.  Both men and women suffer for the lack of taking responsibility from their actions and choices.  I am grateful for the lady in my life, somehow she got brought up properly and didn't suffer enough of the reality in that letter.  My grandma was really hard on my growing up about how to treat people and enough of it stuck as well.  Most people in my peer group, that is not the case.  They bounce from person to person wondering why "it didn't work out" or "I'll settle down later".   To each as his own but having a real partner is a great feeling on a daily basis.  Hard work too lol.
