Clueless!
Hey guys,

Thanks for your feedback! Don't worry, A4 customers will always be protected against any issues. We will provide constant and continuous support on our A4 official miners even after 3 month mining period. We will release a new version firmware within 24 hours and make sure all miners work even better with good profit.  Right now, A4 remains the best in the business unchallenged. Any other product claiming to be better than 14nm A4 can not be seen anywhere. Get A4 today and start mining for profit!

BTW, right now A4 price remains the same as announced and shipment will still be based on 3 miner per order shipment preference.

Thanks very much. Any questions, pls email me at [email protected] and [email protected],

cheers

So it's been 24 hours and a full day in China, update?

Yep the check is in the mail

I'm still over here wondering what this means

We will provide constant and continuous support on our A4 official miners even after 3 month mining period.

Are they saying they will only mine for 3 months?, or are they saying they will only be supported for 3 months? or are they saying they come with a 3 month warranty? Last time I checked my A4 only came with a 45 day warranty. 45 days does not equal 90 days.

they may only support the software for 90 days and the hardware for 45 days...KNC Titans had 1 year warranty (they meant to be 90 days but they forgot to change the web page at launch so they had to backtrack) ....but anyway even with that they only spent 5 months supporting the firmware...said it was 'complete'

heh

gen tarkin made a mockery of that indeed with his 3rd party mods...truth is they stopped firmware support when they stopped making miners for home use.

Anyway not sure what would happen with the A4's in that they are making the majority for their IPO data hall folks..you'd think they'd have longer on the firmware support

and/or at least tell a guy how to fix the hardware after the 45 day warranty....at least open that all up for 3rd party repair or open source firmware support

but who knows...I'm just guessing on the above....(bored waiting to get my haircut ...my life is soooooo exciting) Smiley

Clueless!
Corsair PCI-E cables arrived, went to get the second A4 online.  Cables don't fit my power supply.  Description on the web site and cable says for Ax1200 only.  I have Ax1200i PSU's.  One would assume Ax1200 and Ax1200i are the same animal with pcie cables... Worse yet no way to contact Corsair.  No phone, online chat is offline, nothing.  Only way is to open a ticket and wait.  This is completely unacceptable.  After this I cannot recommend Corsair products.  They should have came with 8 pcie cables for the 8pcie ports on the PSU.  Nope, you apparently have to buy them if you want more.   So now I am stuck waiting for Corsair to respond to my ticket and explain what cables I actually need.

Thanks, Just ran off and ordered the cables I needed on ebay and paid through the nose for them.  At least I will get what I ordered this time.   Angry

corsair does come thru on the online eventually...you may only get a replacement set however...but likely you can sell them on eBay for the same price in that this seems
a bit too common....but anyway it is a round about way out of this

anyway with Trump being elected and the missiles in the air come January 2017 or so...don't sweat the small stuff Smiley (kidding I hope) Smiley

Thanks for the update Chloe.  Looking forward to the software update, and the continued support.  We have some people asking about another group buy.  So maybe we can setup another group buy if you are willing to do that.

Will we get other options to pay?  The wire process is cumbersome, time consuming, and costly.  It would be great to have other payment options.  I think this is a stumbling block for a lot of people.  I hope we can come up with a better solution.  Thanks again.

What kind of rates are you guys getting for what coins? How profitable is each unit?

It hate to say this, because I know how annoying this response is, but "it depends" on what you are mining.  If you are mining a single coin like litecoin then you can use a calculator on litecoinpool to get an estimate of what is being paid right at this moment.  Hash rates on the A4 seem to be around 240-250mhs.  Electricity is around 1070watts.  You will need to know your electricity rate to get an idea.

If you are on a multicoin pool then there is no way of telling you profitability.  Some pools give you an estimate of profitability per MH per day so you can try to estimate based on that.  So for example Prohashing tries to tell you how many cents per day per MH, but the fluctuations in coins is so high that it is hard to get a good estimate.  Basically you have to stick a miner out there and let it run for a day or two to get an idea of your earnings.

So it will depend on which pool you are mining, what type of mining it is, pool specifics, single coin, multicoin etc, fees, and your electricity rates to judge actual profitability.

The A4 is a scrypt coin miner so you can mine any coin that is a scrypt coin.  I hope this gives you some ideas on how to run down the specifics you are asking for.  You also might try WhattoMine.com, go to the ASIC tab on their page and plug in your specifics and get a very rough idea of what to expect.  However I almost always find those estimates to be higher than what I actually see.

Thanks Eyedol-X,

I need to change the script as the cgminer log keeps getting overwritten every crash.
Will try to do that and send you a copy with the logging of 24H and image of version 1.0.2.

Is anyone else not able to remote into their A4? I have mine online and am able to see that it is using the default IP address with an IP scanner, but whenever I type it into a browser I am getting a 'Site cannot be reached' message.

Just go to www.litecoinpool.org

and use that ..it pays 103% and has NO FEE.

Works great for me. How I monitor my miners remotely.

Any issues on getting on, etc PM me.

also sent you a pm on this

and thanks for the trust on the escrow I bumped yours up as well here on BTC talk.

Tell you what: If you post a whole iso dump of your sdcard I will take a look at it on my Rpi here and see if the logs make any sort of sense or if the programs can be kicked to do more loggging.

PM me a dropbox link or something with the file, I have a lot of Titans to work on but can put a look see in the work queue.

Thanks for your interest here.
Ok so whats the deal.. You need a image uploaded or not? I am not uploading if someone else has already..Jezz

If you have an image of the miner running 1.0.2 for more than 24 hours with crashing issues, I say upload it and PM the link. The image I created has only got about 12-14 hours worth of log/mining history.

Ive been waiting awhile for these to come out, but it looks as though the first batch is having a lot of problems.  Has anyone heard from inno about having someone here having a look at it to see if it can be maximized further (i.e. as gentarkin did for the titans)?

Yes, Inno is aware and in this thread.  They are currently working to open source the miner software.  I think if we could get one of these in the hands of Gentarkin or some of the other code wizards they could pull it apart and sort it out.  We just have to figure out how to make that happen.

Hopefully we will get some more updates from Inno for the software while we are trying to get community support on board for this miner.

Thanks appreciate the heads up.  If/when this gets sorted has there been a talk of another group buy maybe during the next batch releases?
