OP hasn't logged in in 3 days, but I know (from Telegram-conversation) that his second transaction confirmed (last Sunday).

Is the original transaction currently showing up in your wallet transaction history? If not, do you know what the original transaction ID is?

If you can get hold of the original raw transaction (by using the original transaction ID), you could try rebroadcasting it through your Bitcoin Core... this should hopefully put the (still unconfirmed) original transaction back in your transaction history. You should then be able to simply right click on that transaction and select "increase transaction fee".

That would save you from a lot of the issues you're currently experiencing. Also, in the future, I suggest not using abandontransaction and zapwallettxes unless you're 100% sure that they are required for what you're trying to achieve. Wink

and now when sent i cant find it on the address or transaction id and the money have been withdrawn from the core wallet, thought it was going to be simple to send money back and forth to binance
Maybe you've followed an old tutorial about fee bumping using abandon transaction back when there's no "Increase transaction fee" option like this one for Bitcoin Core v0.13.2.
Because what you're trying to do is basically what that option is, and its the "simple method".

Info: Abandoning the transaction wont delete it from other node's mempool so if you've sent another transaction to the same recipient but didn't used any of the inputs of the txn that you want to replace, then it won't be replaced, it's like you've sent to that address twice.

Anyways, if you decided to use "Increase transaction fee" and you want to set the new fee rate manually, you can use the console instead.
Use the command bumpfee and add the option fee_rate to set the new fee rate in BTC/kvB.
Example:
Code:
bumpfee 0de258---TXID---571076 "{\"fee_rate\":0.00012}"

yea its good now, but the new transaction still still missing, i dont understand this at all, gone over 2h and cant even find in blockchain explorer even too paid for up to 3 hours
Your transaction maybe not yet broadcast or had errors.

That's normal, especially when your system is slow. Give it some time.

Thanks will def read the post and all the answers. Smiley i re-sent 1k usd now to try, been almost 2 hours and on blockchain.info i cant even find the transaction id and on the reciever string it doesnt even show (only the past transaction that i cancelled) why is that?
Just to confirm, is your transaction replaceable? Go to https://blockchair.com/bitcoin and search for your transaction using the transaction ID of the transaction that you've abandoned/removed. At the field labelled "Replace-by-fee (RBF) enabled?", does it say Yes or No?

i have wasted thousands of usd in fees, so want to change that haha!
You're going to want to read this topic: Fees are low, use this opportunity to Consolidate your small inputs!

Yup. Fees estimation sites are never accurate as transaction volumes tends to spike randomly.
That's because the estimate is based on past transactions and blocks, while any transaction you make depends on future blocks. If it takes an hour to find the next block, fees go up (and miners include the most profitable transactions first).

That's why I use Johoe's site most of the time now. On Sundays (today!), fees are usually the lowest. But read my Consolidation topic first Wink
You may also want to manually select which Inputs to use. This requires enabling Coin Control in Bitcoin Core's settings. If you use only large inputs, you save on fees. The small inputs you can consolidate separately.

ok i will never learn this!  Grin to make it simple i can use this? https://bitcoiner.live/

2h to send (?) cost 14sat/vB that it 14 000 satoshi / how often does this work so it takes 2h or can it take 24h?

so sorry for all newbie i can send u a donation if u like ranochigo
Yup. Fees estimation sites are never accurate as transaction volumes tends to spike randomly. In that site, you should be able to see the confidence level which is 50% 80% and 90% with 90% being the most expensive and a highest certainty to be confirmed within that timeframe.

No worries. I'm happy to answer them.

sorry dont understand anything from this post ;( is it some easy way to check how many satoshi i need to pay if want to recieve in 1 to 4 hour at the most, if im sending x pcs btc or x total amount

this is a djungel, i have wasted thousands of usd in fees, so want to change that haha!
The fees is determined by the transaction size, which is proportional to the number of inputs and the number of outputs that you have. It is unaffected by your total amount of Bitcoin sent.

Sites like (https://bitcoinfees.earn.com/) uses the same estimation methodology as Bitcoin Core and you tend to overpay for your transaction fees. If you're fine with a bit more room for error and paying lesser fees, see this site: https://bitcoindata.science/plot-your-transaction-in-mempool.html. Each block removes 1MB of transaction so you can roughly see where your transaction stands.

The fees that you've mentioned is calculated on a per byte basis. To get KB, use that number and multiply it by 1000.

so 0.00012000 or 12 000 sat is only 0.001108 abt 38 usd, and if i use recommended 60 min its 0.009607 abt 325 usd

so the 12 000 satoshi is fine? big difference, i have used the 60min for years cost me a lot, now i tried the 24hour and got to this haha (and the 24hour 144blocks have similiar cost 0.001023 abt 35 usd, so why will 12 000 satoshi go faster than the 24hour?)

is there any calculator to use if need reach for example binance in 4 hours how much i need pay for that

edit/ im sending 0.43 btc to binance
Your transaction is ~10KB?

The fees mechanism in Bitcoin Core tends to be quite sticky downwards (ie. The lower mempool doesn't exactly reflect in the decrease in the cost for the transaction). It will thus have a more conservative estimate to ensure the chances of you getting a confirmation within X blocks. You should be fine with that. The amount of Bitcoins that you're sending in the transaction will not matter but the transaction size matters.

If you were to refer to the site referenced by LoyceV, you can scroll down and see that the total size of the transaction paying fees more than 12sat/byte is below 1MB.

https://mempool.space/ - if i want medium 62sat/vB and high 114sat/vB , how do i translate this into satoshi? then i can just  check this site and if urgent i choose high and if medium i choose that if i can wait little?

So will im at it, to learn a lot.. then i make send transaction fee i choose custom, change to satoshi sat and write 12sat? is that correct and how do i check the cost in usd?

i have used core wallet for at least 4 years and dont know this, sorry for being the biggest newbie on this forum!  Grin
Bitcoin Core uses kilobytes instead of bytes. You'd be looking to enter 0.00012BTC/KB or 12000 satoshis.

There isn't any fiat integration into Bitcoin Core. You'll have a confirmation to confirm the amount, TX fees and the address for it to be sent to. You can use a site like preev.com to convert it to USD.

I forgot to mention, if ever those 2 missing transactions didn't show up after a few days, you can do a rescan command.
In the console, use rescanblockchain and Bitcoin core will rescan for your wallet transactions (it'll be slow but it wont download anything unless your node is pruned)

Also, your new transaction must have at least one input from your "low-fee transaction" or it wont replace it.
That's why I've suggested to use coin-control.

what option should i take? 60min 2hour?
My Bitcoin Core currently recommends 101 sat/byte. Based on Johoe's Bitcoin mempool Site, 10 sat/byte is currently enough for a fast confirmation. You can make it 12 sat/byte for peace of mind. I always use "Custom fee" for this.

i thought of using the increase but i googled some and didnt quite understand the function of it, so didnt want to gamble since i need to transfer a few k tonight, so now i know better in future of this

my thought was to send a large portion of my btc to binance so once i feel its high i can park it in btc/busd to protect my coins and if a large drop i then convert back to btc/usd instead Smiley

what do you think about the missing 2 transactions total value about 260 usd is that gone or will it catch up?

Many thanks, took me 4 hours to figure out how to use config and abandon the payment with to low fee, will never make that mistake again... so now i will send to binance 0.4 btc with higher fee, i want it to get there within 24 hour always when i send the money

what option should i take? 60min 2hour?
You're in the right timing since the current average fee is quite low, try any recommended fee that's not under 10sat/vB and not higher than your target confirmation time.

BTW, you could have used right-click option: "Increase transaction fee" in the transactions tab   Wink

it didnt work with the other command walletbroadcast=0, then i tried zapwallett and then i could abandon the sent that was yet unconfirmed, so now i got all money back in the core wallet except from 2 transactions (strange? about 130 usd each)
Since you've used zapwallettxes, all of your wallet's transactions were removed and Bitcoin core is currently looking for them from your local copy of the blockchain.
Don't worry, those will be back after a few hours.

Your wallet may have been rescanning for those "zapped" transactions, and it's quite resource heavy.

May I ask your goal by using zapwallettxes?

You can send it to any address that you want as long as the fee is higher than the previous transaction, at least an additional 1sat/vB would suffice.
You may also need to use "coin control" to select the same input(s) if there are other unspent transaction outputs in your wallet.
To enable it, tick "Settings->Options->Wallet tab->Enable coin control feature", that will enable the "Inputs" option in the send tab.

Hello

I did the Abandon Transaction with zapwallettxes command in the config file, the BTC appear in my wallet after the restart of Bitcoin Core wallet, but 2 other completed transactions seems missing

Can I send the btc to another address now or do i need send back to the sam address with a higher fee?
