Never ending parties are what Im into.
I actually really respect people that put themselves in danger for a greater reason. Fact she was in such a shitty situation and was still looking out for others says so much about her character.
Think she would have weighed the pros and cons

Stated she was like mother to the other girls and did not run away with them due to her ethnicity potentially giving them away in a Middle Eastern area.
Sounds like she was a very strong person,to bad she had to go through this and die in such a horrible manner.

She should have taken her chances. What is the point in remaining in ISIS captivity, only to be killed by the Islamist thugs later? Even if it was just a 10% chance, she should have taken it. Perhaps she was hoping for a hostage exchange (al Baghdadi had promised to free her, if Afafia Siddiqui was released from the US custody).

Your country may be your worst enemy
I can only guess that when a woman is raped, the ID of the rapist doesn't matter much, but this case shows that the horror stories we hear from Syria come not only from the ground soldiers, but also from their leader. Meaning that IS citizens are a homogeneous group, but there was little doubt about that. They're all pigs.

She went to Syria, and not to Turkey. Her boyfriend (Omar Al Khani) was a Syrian citizen. Perhaps that was one of the reasons why she traveled to Syria. And ISIS does not differentiate between mercenaries and humanitarian workers. If you possess a passport from the United States or any other NATO member nation, then you are a legitimate target for the ISIS.

I guess she went to Turkey to help with the crisis and then went to Syria.

She flew from the US to Turkey in December 2012 to help provide aid to refugees along the Syrian border.

Sad. Especially since she went to Turkey to help refugees.
Even when you try to provide humanitarian assistance, you are shown no mercy.

Feels bad for her.. She should have avoided going to the Middle-East. Still, doubt remains on her death. The Americans are saying that the ISIS executed her. But according to the ISIS guys, a Jordanian airstrike killed her. Also, her boyfriend (Omar Al Khani) seems to be a shady character. Especially his behavior during the ambush near Aleppo, in which the American was taken hostage by the ISIS looks suspicious.
