My chief you don talk highest and I thank you so much say you pont out this issues give me and sincerely speaking, I personally no been see reasons to report those threads because I no been wan call attention to ourselves as this my local mentality dey make me feel like say if I dey report those threads, thymos fit vex come dey regret giving us a board and e go Mae life hard for other local threads wey go dey seek for board, so forgive me for that ignorance.
I actually been dey bored with all those threads but I been dey feel like say rather than leaving the topics unengaged make I engage am and truly na my bad 😞 abeg forgive me everybody wey dis my act provoke.

Reporting those trash is the best way now because we have been saying time without number. I was a member Igebotz was telling me nd warning and I quickly understand and adopt to di system. @royalfestus I believe say the forum still dey require payment before opening an account and beside one other reason wey make I personally no dey report this threads be say, I know say writing no easy and the quest to meet up with activities and required merit for a certain rank dey push people into mass creating of irrelevant threads and to me I go say rather than report the to moderator, why not write them a PM and tell them what to do rather than drawing attention to ourselves.

In my opinion, unnecessarily long threads can be reported to the forum moderators, but I do not think it should get that far. I am not a regular visitor to Nigerian threads on the forum, and posting in a thread on a topic of concern is not limited, but these Nigerians ger the way they flood everything and draw attention to themselves. Could you please tell me why they are like that? no be only naija dey this forum now. There is a way to block new accounts that do not appear relevant in the forum, I also think the forum is still requesting funds to open an account, why so many people who are unsure of what to do.

No be lie, like many posts have reported to be deleted or locked but got a free pass because comments dun much for the topic and when you read the comments dem na rubbish everybody dey talk. Na another stress to come dey report each comment one by one especially as the moderators no dey understand our language. Well if you noticed many of the election posts has been locked and never to be commented on again well that's because they were reported. Make everybody understand say reporting of post is still taken into actions so make we continue dey report the nonsense posts as we dey see them.

Even yesterday when this thread was created others were creating more and another's were busy commenting on them. Since we don’t have an active moderator, I think the best approach to handling these kind of topics is by not reacting or commenting on these threads. I get discouraged to contribute here because of this problem. It seems any news that is on my browser is a topic on our board. It’s somehow that we complain about the low quality and still comment on the threads to meet up quota. I believe if we ignore the threads the OPs will buckle up and realize they are doing something wrong.

Na some more sensitization we need for this board, else people go just the create new thread anyhow, but anyways, politics, and most particular, the elections in Nigeria, is the current thing on board, it's what everybody everywhere is discussing, as a patriotic Nigerian, you can not deny or say you are not affected, we all are affected in one way or the other, so this I believe is one of the reasons why alot of persons, instead of commenting on other thread, would rather opt to creating a new thread so that he or she can be heard and maybe receive comments too - do not blame them.

I think there is something we are not getting. I have taken my time to read although the topics here and do you know that most of the topics are similar which all of them can be on one thread but I just think that most people here do not want to comment on any other peoples topic rather, they create their thread so that others would comment on theirs there by making room for duplicate topics which is irrelevant at this point and if you notice most posts here on our local board are just scanty with no
or little responses or comments on them.
If we had a pinned and locked thread or topic as the number topic at the first page on our board stating some guidelines and principle governing this board I think most of these things we are discussing over would be minimal and also new bies should be given orientation too because most of them have no clues in how things work here so they operate without being updated

We will request for that maybe in the second quarter of the year but my issue with everyone complaining is what are they doing to improve the board, they aren't participating in discussion outside politics and other topics aren't getting enough attention yet they want to put the whole politics discussions in one thread? That's not smart. How many topic has any of them engage in outside politics discussions. Okay if you don't see any topics why don't you create one.

I haven't seen any reasonable topics on Bitcoin or even altcoins coming from this people and when you create one they don't engage but yet they complain. People spam and you can't eliminate that even the general board is having same issue but what are you doing to combat it, have you reported the posts or send them DM? Before we get a permanent solution in future, we should all engage ourselves on the board, report whatever topic or post you feel doesn't deserve to be on the board and create more topics outside politics discussion so we get a politics board with that evidence.

I can not agree more, you are correct, but just that politics needs its own board. I wanted to start a topic about it before, but I was very busy and also that the main board is just like politics board which may raise the concern that we also still need more main board topics which are not politics before it can be done. But the need of a board for politics is imminent.

If all those low quality posts been started where on that thread, it would had still been a spam thread because they're all spam and if the thread was reported to be locked for spamming, it'll be locked or discourage users from engaging on the thread. The topic causing a nuisance is election matter and not politics entirely because there are so many quality politics related threads that have been started by different high ranked members dat doesn't fit to be in one thread.

Before your thread I raised the attention since with this; Should Sub-Threads be created or we should freestyle the whole thing? Election matters could have been easily handled by putting everything in one thread but not politics entirely. Politics is a broader discussion and that's why it has its own board on the forum. In future we'll get a politic sub board. The issue here is low quality posts and repeated topics which I'm surprised same members complaining are still responding to those topics.

If a repeated topic is created and we join hands to report it, it'll be locked or send the OP DM to locked since they're similar. Putting all election matters into one thread is OK but putting all politic matters into one thread isn't, it'll obstruct the flow of conversation and many of you won't even visit that thread just as we were complaining with the hangout thread..

Members who are starting this thread are junior members, members, or newbies, and they may think that posting rules and guidelines are only followed in other serious boards like Bitcoin discussion, reputation, or meta, but posting in this board should have some rules to be followed by members too.

I don't usually create a thread without searching to confirm if there is already an existing thread like that, and the problem here is that some of these newbies may not really know that creating the same thread is just spamming. I propose that there be a pin thread on this board that states, "Members read before posting here," and in that thread, the rule to refrain from posting on this board should be stated. The rule may not work 100% of the time because some people are constantly breaking rules, but I believe some will try to read before posting, which may help. Just my opinion, though.

Nothing go sweet pass us getting our own moderator especially now because if we no get am, plenty things fit go wrong and with the presence of a moderator, I'm sure plenty other things go fall back in place.
