I go like thank all of una wey don throw light on this matter in one way or the other, bcos truly I no come here to cause confusion, but rather here to provide a solution where it could help us grow, stay safe and get to enjoy the local board & the forum at large, because firstly, I observed say a whole lot of things have been talked about both negative & positive ever since I drop this update. But abeg make una no forget that the main reason why this thread was created was to focus on "How not to use use our hand cast ourselves for the forum in whatever we find ourselves doing", which I don't think is ever a bad thing to tell my brothers & sisters in the house, or abi na bad thing I do?

But however, I noticed that a whole lot of things have been said, reviews and suggestions which I think will actually be of help to the local board such as;

And wetin "Brainboss" just yan for hear na better talk wey we all suppose reflect on am, bcos true true u no need to be a merit source to sama like 1 or 2 merit to any post wey you see say eh dey worthy, because however, there is no place like home, and the only home wey we get for here na this small board, wey if only we all fit dey act like that I bet you we go all enjoy this small board wey they same us like this. And na wetin begins with me and you.


And this statement given above goes straight to the senior men wey dey for this board and dey interested in being a "merit source" to feel free apply for am, as eh go really make sense if we get like 1 or 2 of them for this local board.

So lastly, my desire na to see us all grow wella for the forum, and as such, I go lock this thread, so as to avoid any further talk wey fit cause any wahala. Thank you

OP you just talk as em be sha but wetin we need to understand sae we Nigerians d do well in everything wey we engage ourselves into even when the odds are not in our favor, we go still find ways to develop a passion for it and also create an impact by making our presence be felt by giving it our best shot with our not given up spirit wey we get for body.

I greet the house first of all. Well from ma own perspective the way I see this matter be say merits dey good oo and no doubt we need am for the forum to grow which I can see clearly it everyone goals. But the mata about not about merits source not being in the local board sef no be big problem because if come to look at our post quality na only few of us wey don learn nai dey strive well and again the mata still be all our faults because since wen we  get this board e dey hard to see us wey be naija people merit good posts from our mate here even if we know say the post quality tight and if we no start to learn how to do e go no help us because na still  us be the Nigerian people wey suppose give ourselves some reps for the forum.

Na wetting me self they think, because we no fit compare our self to those boards because we never tey wey we get our own board, I think the best thing na to forget this matter and focus on something entirely different that will bring success to the forum and the local board.

Although wetting OP talk na true but change begins with me and you, as @CryptopreneurBrainboss talk am, na so e be; now some of us get smerit but to give them fellow colleagues they hard them meanwhile na person give you too, so to make this board active and supportive as we they think am, we need we need to start supporting ourselves as OP don mention am already.

Personally I feel say e don reach time for us to end all this merit talk because e no dey help anybody cos na talk dey bring talk, before bad belle go come enter. You cannot force anyone or use emotional blackmail to make people send you merits, I believe say nobody get merit blacklist for here and if merit no dey flow for the board, we already know the reason why, we no need to make topic about am.

It never crossed my mind to check your profile with Bpip.org to see if you're a merit source or not depending on the amount of merit you have sent to other users.
The reason the reason why I just came to the conclusion that you were not a merit source was because of that thread I post above, at the end of the thread I was expecting some congratulatory comments there and since there were none I just copied the link thinking the application was still pending, which was a mistake on my path.

Just to clear everybody because I no understand wetin you write here but neither Charles or Igebotz dey give monthly reward and you can't hold it against them because they're not merit source and the merit wey dem dey get dem get other boards wey dem dey very active on and dey merits users as dem dey see worthy posts. Also the monthly review isn't recent, it has been there from the very beginning and even start self from the hangout thread as if you go back there you go see me meriting posts especially started topics.

Monthly reward na just 10 but I dey send more than 30+ merits monthly for this boards although of recent e dun dey reduced shall as I no dey evey active for here but whenever I receive I dey throw am here especially for started threads. Now make we ask ourselves, all the merits wey we dey receive wetin we dey use the smerits do because I see Nigerian hot everywhere in regards to receiving merit yet the board they empty, leave topics but as you dey reply your brothers for here see say wetin him write good, YOU DEY MERIT AM? I was a merit source since 2019 for the altcoins section (although I no dey active dat side again). No use our board compare with those boards oh we can't have there type of merits source for now because na dem start forum besides anybody can find 10 worth posts from this board and drop an application to be a merit source specific for the local board. I dun write theymos tired even the day wey him give us this board I drop am message say my source merit no fit do this board make him increase am like others own but him say and I quote "I'm not looking to increase the merit in circulation on the forum".

Omo I won know something here. Ratimov and DdmrDdmr are from Turkish? Me I never know before if na gesi bi that then dey get luck Wella. Op but you have to understand say, we no get merit source, di allocation we dem dey give Brainboss na very small amount we no reach two pesen sef. You know say Merit Source dey give 50 Merits to one person for one Month and those mega Merit Sources dey give some times like dat 2 10 users if they want but dem dey split am too. So we need Merits Sources in the board as well. Though weti u tok gud but we have to reason from other angle too.

Not only Turkish board but also in Pakistani, I have seen users that have ranked up to Full member or even more just because of the amount of merit the received from their local boards.
And as for one of us going to Meta or Other section of the forum to post about it, that won't be an issue as it is not something Illegal or against the rule so they will only just end up fooling themselves there. Aside from that if you take a good look at those boards mentioned their language is impossible to understand without the use of a translator so that gives them more privacy but in the case of Nigeria board our pigdin is not that difficult to be understood by someone who knows how to talk english and msot times we make our post in english. I have seen a non-Nigerian merit a post here in the nigeria board more than once.

Another reason we can't have somthing like that is due to the lack of merit source; to be sincere I don't fancy the idea of creating a thread for your psot to be assessed if a merit source (assuming we had one) comes accross one of your post and find it constructive he could just go through your post history and merit all those he deems merit worthy, because if a thread is created for post assessing you and I know that they will be so much abus in that thread as some users might be tempted to create an Alt account to become active here in the local board for easy growth.

BTW, @CryptopreneurBrainboss I think it's time you reconsider applying to be a merit source because back then when you applied Nigeria section was just a thread but now it's a board so there is a high chance of Theymos accepting your application.

My observation for this thing wey you bring now be say we selves fit run am but the major stumbling block go be lack of smerits. If you observe wella most of those people wey dem merit for that board na top people do give them merit. People like Ratimov and DdmrDdmr always Dey share merit there because na merit source dem be. How many merit source wey get here and if you check their allocation self small. Although apart from that most members here no like they give out merits here probably because of low quality posts.

Omo, eh get wetin I just see now for the forum wey just capture my attention & need for me to write this article right now, bcos while doing my  normal activity for forum, I happened to come across one Turkish board wey just brow my mind, and wetin I see na how the Turkish board dey carry help their active forum members grow by giving merits to people wey just dey come up on a very low key wey nobody dey hear about am, wey the least post there get not less than 10merits, wey if na we Nigerians now, one Judas for don go cast am by creating a thread at either "Mata" or "Bitcoin Discussion".

However, I know say we dey try wella for this our board, and I know say our senior men dey carry us along wella, but one thing I go like to talk be say, abeg make we no cast ourselves for this forum, because if you think say we bad, I bet you there are many other boards for this forum wey we no dey even do things up to 10% reach them, but yet they decided to keep theirs on the low key. Because one thing wey make me write this post as I see that thread be say if to say you dey put hear for radio, you suppose don hear say U.K govt don ban our Naija students from bringing their pple over during their studies just bcos one of our own go cast the update say many of our students wey dey go U.K no be bcos of the certificate oh, but na to get permanent work permit, and schooling is the most easiest way. And eh no make sense as such no for happen only if we been dey do our things on low key & not casting our updates anyhow on social media.
