Sorry I'm coming to this a bit late here.

The only android apps I know are the safest are electrum and andreas' wallet.

Electrum (dev of this is a forum mod here) - https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.electrum.electrum

I'm a happy customer using bitcoin wallet that is available on playstore(android) and Apple Store(iOS/iPhone) it is called Coins.ph. I'm a travel guy so mobility on any transactions is my first concern and that wallet give me more satisfaction that any wallet that is have tried. I just don't have the time to research list of countries supported by this or just our country only. They're customer service and reviews are awesome. I hope it is available in your country, if not look for some local wallet provider.

Btw i won't recommend you to use 3rd party wallets which are play store, many of them don't allow you to save the seed and some are just plain there to steal your bitcoins, so don't go the mobile way.

Use something like electrum for desktop, they are lite wallets and are open source.
There are some wallet that actually safe to use i still not experience any issue and i will recommended mycelium since you here in alternative clients you can see the mycelium section for more info about mycelium..
Also i think there is electrum wallet for mobile. but there are some bug or glitch in that wallet base in other mobile electrum user..
If you really wanted to be safe of you coins use a laptop and use electrum or bitcoin qt if you wanted to download the whole blockchain..

I guess that's not weird, everyone has high mobility, and everyone needs to make it easy to make transactions.
Mobile applications are very helpful to keep active and monitor the assets we have. Most importantly our wallets have strong security.

the excess of Bitcoin wallet is not just that. if you are in full control of the data from the bitcoin wallet , then you can access your bitcoin wallet in another device.
if you do not hold full control of your wallet you could lose your Bitcoin balance when your device is lost in your hand.

yeah, its right.

But the most important is don't forget about a security password you have made. Cool

It doesn't store the blockchain, it is called a light wallet. It pretty much trusts other nodes on the transactions so you get lower security, but since there are plenty of nodes to which you can randomly connect to, you should be fine.

Hello guys. I've another newbie question.

One of my friends told me about the bitcoin mobile wallet from Google Play and I couldn't understand how can a mobile phone can handle the big size of blockchain history. I read some and it says it only uses long blockchains.

I'm a bit confused. What are the disadvantages of having a mobile wallet? What can go wrong?

Thanks for your replies in advance.
