Please tell me about the myetherwallet being attacked in which country Huh  Cry Cry Cry Cry

Do you mean got hack ?
AFAIK, MEW is vulnerable for being attack by hacker because most people especially who still new in cryptocurrency world , still not fully understand MEW technical things.

~Experience is best teacher

agreed. before I get into this crypto thing I made a lot of research regarding blockchains, exchanges and wallets and so far base on what I understood and know they are all safe to (except exchange).
Myetherwallet is very good wallet, easy to use and very secured.

Yes! And it is very nice that MyEtherWallet have offline version that available on github. You can get instruction here: https://myetherwallet.github.io/knowledge-base/offline/running-myetherwallet-locally.html

But if it is possible - use Trezor/Ledger devices.

I don't think Myetherwallet has been attacked in the sense of being hacked, it is constantly being 'attacked' by the different phising sites and emails that will try to trick users into believing they are the MEW.

attacked? or hacked? well if you mean hacked remember myetherwallet is a safe wallet unless you keep your private key a private but its not private anymore if you accidentally show them and that's what hackers are waiting so we should be careful.

Was following the unraveling of the situation but as I found out, etherblue started the FUD and thus creating panic with several accounts being closed and funds transfered to other wallets.

Only information i got now that it is safe, but there are several more phishing sites so you have to be carefull on being in the right MEW site.

MyEtherWallet is a popular online Ethereum wallet which you can use as an alternative of the Ledger Ethereum Chrome application. It supports natively the Ledger Nano S and the Ledger Blue on Chrome and Opera, without the need to install any app or plug-in.

To manage your Ethereum account, go to MyEtherWallet website (not the Chrome extension plugin) and select the "Send Ether & Tokens" tab. Plug your Ledger device, select the Ethereum app and go to the settings of the app to activate "Browser support":

This will enable the direct connection to the browser and MyEtherWallet will be able to detect your device (note that if you wish to use the Ledger Ethereum Chrome application, you'll have to disable browser support).

Select the "Ledger Wallet" option and click on "Connect your Ledger Wallet"

It will show you a popup where you'll be able to select which HD derivation path and which address you want to manage:

And voilà! You can now send or receive ETH/ETC transactions.

All outgoing transactions will require a confirmation on the device (exactly like with the Ledger Ethereum Chrome application). Only public data is sent to MyEtherWallet and your private keys will never be exposed to the browser.

Once you confirm the transaction on the device, please wait a few seconds for the signature to complete. It'll then show the raw date on the web page, and you must click on "Send transaction" again to display the final confirmation popup:

I agree because the stolen etherwallet question stems from the carelessness of its users, many people are very careless in entering their private key and easy to enter the web phishing.

thank you for giving me the correct reminder !!! Kiss Kiss Kiss

It is not hacked and I think my ether wallet is the best ethereum wallet and its creators seems like very smart people. I test it always with fake wallet before using my wallet with coins.

MEW wasnt attacked as far as I know. You probably confusing this with an attack because someone who got a victim of a phishing site lost his funds. Ive read something like this many times already. The victims of those attacks are often blaming MEW for their failure to click on phishing links.

I still consider MEW not safe, if you are using the private key method.

Safer option is either Chrome Addon(eg Metamask) + MEW , or as mentioned above Hardware Wallet + MEW

Though no one can protect you from human error from your end.

All the FUD that has been created about MEW has already been cleared, it all was Fud and they all were huge LIES. my ether wallet is safe enough if you are not exposing your private keys, that is it.
If you are using a hardware wallet + mew, you wont have any issues at all.

There is no attack, it is just a case of phishing, people are uploading there private keys on fake links and hence are deprived of their funds in the original wallet.

Its pure FUD. The FUD originates from their rival Ethereum BLUE (BLUE). They are maliciously spreading false news on their twitter account about the said hack but MEW quickly deny it. So you don't need to be worry about your tokens or your ETH on your wallet.

I actually did test drive and login to my account (my account with small funds) and see if the news is true. However, I was able to navigate and see my funds still intact.

If you are still unsure, here's is MEW official twitter account. Just check and you can actually post questions.

https://twitter.com/myetherwallet

I also used that strategy whenever there's some negative news that is going on. I check their official Twitter account and see if its fake news or not.

Thank you very much!!! Because you told me this information! Kiss Kiss Kiss

This question literally makes zero sense. How would a wallet be attacked in specific countries? People from all over the world use this wallet. It is not country specific, nor would attackers/hackers be able to tell what "country" wallets they were "attacking" were "from."

Are you even slightly aware of how blockchains and wallets work?  Huh Huh
The claim was that the myetherwallet.com DNS was compromised in specific regions, so yes, it could be country specific.

The claim is bull$hit, but of course you should always be downloading MEW from github rather than through the .com

I don't think the information you presented above is true, to attack a wallet can be done from anywhere, though some countries are likely to be more vulnerable because of the high number of citizens of the country involvement in the space than others

Maybe what you mean is your myetherwallet was attacked by hackers in short hacked.
If this is what you mean be careful on your wallet. Don't try and try to open it. Check the URL if correct, check your wallet address if not counterfeit. Few days ago I experienced the feelings of being my wallet got hacked.

I think this is not the right place to post this kind of topic.

I think you are confusing in myetherwallet. It is one of the best wallet. It should not affect easily in the digital world. This is one of the more secured wallet. This is the most familiar in all over world. It is not attacked in the country. Because majority of the competitors is used in this wallet. Once it will affect all over the world should be suffer. So try to avoid these types of thread.
