Academic survey on the adoption or not of digital currencies by companies in the European Union.
Dear Sir/Madam,

It would be our great pleasure if your company participated in the academic research carried out on digital currencies.
 
More specifically, this survey is addressed to your company and aims to ask your opinion about the digital currency (Bitcoin, Ripple, Litecoin, etc.) and its prospects. The goal is to investigate the extent of diffusion, acceptance and adoption or not of digital currency as a technological innovation, combined with the extent of perceived usefulness, ease of use and security of digital currency as a means of transaction by companies in the European Union nowadays. As the survey is conducted throughout Europe, English has been chosen as a common language of this survey.

The survey is carried out for the purposes of a PhD thesis in the Department of Applied Informatics at the University of Macedonia, Greece. The questionnaire is anonymous and the responses you will provide are considered confidential, as they will be used only for the purposes of the doctoral research.

Initially you will be asked to reply as a representative on behalf of your company and then you can express your personal views. The total estimated time to complete the questionnaire is approximately 15 - 20 minutes.

While the academic research on digital currencies of the Department of Applied Informatics of University of Macedonia is still online, we would like to share some findings. After receiving the first responses, the preliminary results indicate that 48,1% of the companies have already adopted the digital currency as a means of transaction, while 51,9% not. The answers are from 65 companies in EU, 31% of the enterprises that answered it considers that they would be essential educational seminars in his personnel, so that it is familiarized with the use of digital currencies and it considers 28% him that they would help very much online educational courses.
