Hi,  I opened topic on different part of this forum but I need some different ideas. If read my topic and answer me I will be glad. Thank you so much..

Here is link of my topic : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5329770.0;all&__cf_chl_jschl_tk__=pmd_hkn1NAPu8AfY0ktyi8uPR4Za.Wkk1Q6kP5zJSvaG5CU-1630343980-0-gqNtZGzNAfujcnBszQhR

As far as I know, once you deposited any crypto or bitcoin in different wallets you cannot recover it were the chances is very low.
But according to the response on the link you gave, they said you can still able to recover and take it back to your wallet, if that is true dude, you need to hold on to what they've said it to you in which is "WAITING" is your only chance to get it back, although it will take a long time
for sure, just don't stop instead keep on follow up via their ticket support. Sorry I can't help you with the issues you faced it now.

Hi, I checked my wallet on blockchain and saw that my lost bitcoin which one I am waiting for recover, transferred to " 1FPjzeLsuYZeu7XZMYPuBLdgML5kDhbqjV " .. But bitcoin didnt deposited to my Poloniex account. what does it mean ? why they didnt deposit my bitcoin to my account ? Sad( I dont understand what is going on ? Does anyone have an idea about this?

Here is my blochchain wallet link..

https://www.blockchain.com/btc/address/1Han49haYVjn7rsWYFDfyeLBvKKbmXUNuv

thanks..
Poloniex got your bitcoin but it doesn't get credited into your account since you deposited to wrong address, actually the transfer happens when the funds moved from hot wallet to cold wallet.

There is no use of tracking your bitcoin since it was deposited into wrong address so its not hacked.

All you have to do is try to get response from poloniex support team.

There's no other choice, since the funds have already been released outside by Binance, they are no longer accountable to it.

Just as I've said about the past experience of having the same problem, you're lucky if poloniex will help you to retrieve back your fund.

I am really sad about of it. I dont understand why support dont recover my bitcoin. Now live chat mod. told me that T3 support working on it. I dont understand what is T3 support. I think maybe they lost this private key. Recover Process is very easy and my bitcoin on their pocket... They delisted OMNI Network from Poloniex, they removed my OMNI USDT wallet from my account. If they will dont Use this OMNI more why they dont give me my USDT wallet private key. If I got this private key I can recover my coins in max 2 hours. I many time wrote to TETHER comany also. Their support replied me that 200 days is too long for this process... But they can not help me, they wrote me only Poloniex can help me.. As a result I got nothing..  Sad(( I try to forget this btc but I can not because 20k $ is good amount for me..  Sad(
It's truly a sad event when it happens to someone.

We don't know how they're taking that difficult if the fund was deposited to them. Because if they're caring for their customers, it's easy on their technical end to just release it if it's proven that the mistake was done.

On the other hand, they'll only say that it's our negligence upon doing that deposit. I'm hoping that they'll still email you with good news soon since this is really a big amount that you've got.

Unfortunately, everything you wrote so far is correct. Binance sent BTC to the address you confirmed, so there is no error on their part. As Tether support wrote, recovery of funds is possible through the owner of the private key address to which Binance sent BTC. The only option to recover these funds is Poloniex because only they have the private key address where the BTC is.
The only way is to keep trying to contact Poloniex support. Is writing tickets the only way you are trying to contact them, or have you tried other ways?

Hi, thank you for your reply.  I tried every way to contact with them.. I opened ticket 203 days ago on Poloniex. and always contacted with them using telegram, livechat and trolbox on Poloniex. But these support staff dont know anything because always they wrote me " (02:29:33 PM) Migeru: Please be patient our specialist will send you a email. " but I didnt got any tech. information about of my issue.. thanks

Because you haven't checked where you're sending. I haven't used Poloniex for a long time but when you're about to deposit, is there any warning or message that to check the address where you're sending before you make a transaction?

In the past, that's what I've read when somebody have the same experience as you, he'd explained a lot and his mistake and then the exchange told him that they can no longer retrieve the wrongly sent coins back to him.

Hi, Thank you for your reply..

Bitcoin transfered from binance exchange  using binance " API " .. when you use API at this time you dont got any error message that this wallet adress is incorrect or something else...

Thanks..

OP somewhere mentioned that he is been waiting for more than 180 days with this issue and waiting for the response from Poloniex that is why I consider that Poloniex is not interested in resolving this issue, and the reputation of Poloniex is not that great now also they got hacked in the past after that people don't really trust that exchange to deposit their funds there.

Yes, I am also afraid of that they dont interested resolving my issue but I dont understand why they dont directly  say me that they will dont help me.. why they dont ignore me because every 3-4 days I keep busy to their support team.. thanks..

I have seen many situation as you before OP and those experiences were from known exchanges a few years ago. Lucky those people that have been helped by the team to receive the wrongly sent bitcoins to omni layer/protocol.

But this time, it's hard to reach and make the exchange do the favor to you and might just say that it's your fault.

Thank you for your reply

Withdrawing via API or do it manually, It's still you fault because you are the one who withdraw your Bitcoin to a wrong address. Your best possible solution is to contact polo support same as others advice in your previous thread since your transaction can be recover only by them. Poloniex is an establised centralized exchange so I believe you have a chance to recover your funds by contacting them.

Every exchanges clearly mentioned about this in their terms, crypto assets sent to the wrong address maybe lost permanently so make sure you are sending to the right address in direct or indirect way so the fault is clearly on your side.

However the exchanges can refund the funds to the user in matter of minutes because they received the funds but since the terms favouring them then they choose which way to go on case to case or by time to time.

OP sent BTC to USDT (Omni layer).

@OP, there is nothing you can do but wait, no matter how long it is. It either they will successfully recover your account or not. Technically, it seems easy to recover the fund, but if you see it from an exchanges' perspective, it needs a length of a chain of command and proper steps by step operation to safely recover your fund without compromising their whole security in results from the process of recovering your funds.

Since you only can wait, I stand with what @OcTradism stated on that topic. You might want to try to make them keep updated with your ticket by somehow bumping your ticket whether it is weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly.

Hi, thank you for your reply. I know that I have to wait Poloniex support but 190 days is very long for me.. This recover process can takes 190 days ? or I forget this bitcoin.. and last reply from them that my transaction is cross - chain transaction. Another forum user wrote me that he dont think this is a cross chain .. what are your thoughts on this? thanks
Poloniex is not really an user friendly exchange along with really bad support system, sorry to say that you are having less chance to recover the funds back since Poloniex is not interested to give it back. If its really a very big amount then you can put more pressure on them by keep creating the support ticket or even via the help of court and laws.

Or else simply take this as a lesson and move on, start using the better exchanges like binance as of now.

I know I can't imagine how frustrated you are. But you better lower your expectation about the result or the timeframe of this cases. You said on that topic, there are other cases whose solved way faster than you, but you can't make it as an example or expectation for Poloniex to solve your case. As the exchange stated:
Quote from:
there is no timeline given, nor a guarantee of the recovery of said funds. Please also refer to our user agreement, specifically section 5 stating: If you send a Digital Asset to a Poloniex address that is unable to receive that specific Digital Asset, or if you make any typos or inaccuracies in the wallet address, such Digital Asset may be lost forever.

About cross-chain transactions, I can't say too much since I don't fully understand the definitive term or the technicalities about it.

even if it's too long for you, you don't have any other choice. they own the keys for the address, you can't really force them to return it quickly or something like that since you made a mistake in the first place too (i'm pretty sure they have a clause about this on their tos). so just be patient and follow the advice mentioned above.

Wait a minute, i see that in your post history. You have received an email or message said that polo was able to recover your BTC and it will be given back again to your account. My question it whether you were sending Wrapped bitcoin or native bitcoin? I thought that when you're sending native bitcoin and there will be a notification if the address didn't suit or related to the bitcoin address(I meant bitcoin native chain).

If polo able to recovers your bitcoin based on that message and i can assume that if you're sending wrapped bitcoin, right?

Hi, Thank you for your reply. Bitcoin sent via binance api so we dont get any error message or something else..   Both wallet are using the same Network ( OMNI ) . Bitcoin sent from my Binance btc balance.. I hope answer your question because my english is not so good. thanks..
