Just writing some code
I've banned the user for now. For started, it would also help if you'd add a date in your signed message.

Thank you.  I will do that in future.

Here is the message with a date.

Would it be possible for another breach happening without the mods or the staff knowing? There is a few threads with users claiming that their accounts are hacked. The DDOS plus the hacks could not be all a coincidence. What do you all suspect?
I suspect that you are spamming in order to pad your post count. It is highly unlikely that a breach would occur without anyone noticing.

I don't understand how the account could have been hacked again with the old dump? Surely this could only be the case if you reused your old password that was contained in the original back?

I have changed my password since, however there seems to be a newer dump? https://cointelegraph.com/news/bitcointalkorg-database-with-500k-accounts-is-being-sold-on-the-dark-web

As far as I'm aware that is just the old one that for some reason people started talking about again but it's been out there since May 2015 and the article even states as such:

In May 2015, BitcoinTalk announced that its server was compromised due to social engineering against ISP NFOrce, a type of confidence trick utilized to gather information, fraud, or a system breach. The database compromised from the 2015 security breach was stolen by the dark web vendor “DoubleFlag,” the same identity  initiating the sale of the recently compromised database of Dropbox.

If so, there's no way somebody could have hacked it with the leaked details if you changed the password.

I remember changing it when that happened though, but that was also around the time where I stopped being as active as I used to be. Perhaps there was a forum reset or something similar that I may have missed?

Theymos didn't report anything but the DDOS attacks so I doubt anyone got access to the database. However , I'm interested in knowing how you got access to that link (from where you got it) as I can't find anything about it on the internet (beside your thread and this website : https://hacked-emails.com/leak/pb-QfHRVwda)

Reply of theymos on reddit:

'Perhaps they're using the DDoS as advertising, but otherwise it's totally unrelated. The database was leaked over a year ago (I sent everyone an email about it at the time), and although it was not publicly for sale, it's been floating around in certain circles since then. If it could do any major harm, then the harm would've already been done.'
