Yeah, i was hoping that some big dog weight might expedite the process. Really wish there was a self service way to unlock/reset passwords for accounts :/.

Can you post and/or PM me the signed message along with where your address can be found? (I would prefer that you sign a message with today's date).

If you do the above, then I will contact the admins on your behalf to try to get your account restored back to you. Although I cannot make any promises, it looks like you rank quite high up there in terms of time spent online, and I can ask that restoring your account be given some level of priority because of this.

I had no idea that trying the secret question will get you locked out of your account. I almost tried that not to long ago. Can't they code a warning?

Yes, mine has been since September 22nd but i dint know how to reset it til the 28th. Seems long but I also understand that security is a huge deal and should be especially related to newer technology like BTC.

Well that explains what to happened to my old account then...Was literally just trying to reset the password for it, had no idea answering the secret question would lock it... 
it took only 2 weeks for me to get my access back.

There is already an advisory to not use the secret question here: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/psa-accounts-will-be-locked-if-the-secret-question-is-used-to-recover-it-1206977
I think they shoul put it somewhere that anyone can read so everyone will stop using the secret question. I also got my account locked and luckility it took only 2 weeks for me to get my access back.

Did you try to reset the password using the secret question ? If yes,you're locked out of your account!It's a known bug.

I have since sent of another corrected signed message last week to cyrus, but have not heard anything.
Relax.Since recovering accounts is one of the least priorities,you might have to wait a little longer.Little as in Days,Weeks,Months...no one knows. (depends on your luck,actually)

Thanks for the update. I think i did try reset using the security question, and then found out that those accounts auto lock after trying. I'll sit tight and check back every week or so. I was also not sure how long it normally takes. I was hoping about a week or so but i guess it could take weeks/months hopefully not years Smiley

I have since sent of another corrected signed message last week to cyrus, but have not heard anything. Is there anyway of knowing if my account is locked/banned or other? [UPDATE]

I assume that the PMID mentioned here "I sent that address to someone in a PM with PM ID#..." would be a "pmesg=" in the URL that is often referenced in email. But also not sure.
