Seems the seller account has been nuked. Nothing except scam or try to ruin reputed accounts. But failed eventually lol. I believe most of the account sell post is just scam attempt. Claiming owned the accounts doesn't mean he is the owner.

We can't tag if a newbies post sell thread for a high ranked accounts. We can tag only seller account BTW.
This is nice, I haven't thought about it the other way round. A certain newbie can put up my account for sell in order to get me tagged. At this time it is only good to tag the seller or the advertiser and not the advertised account.
Yet, there is a chance that the account for sell is actually put for sell by the real owner, but there is no way to confirm it. Even if you pm the real owner, he will definitely deny.

Assume my account is sold for 0.5 BTC, buyer will hardly to use it to scam anyone with 0.5BTC or higher. If using this account to work, it requires so many times to get 0.5 BTC initial capital back. With Wasabi campaign I am promoting, it takes 25 months to earn 0.5 BTC. It's not a good deal.
Maybe he's looking at campaigns like Chipmixer or Bitcasino  that would cut the time of ROI but over a half  Cheesy

But anyway there are so many ways the account seller can use a bought account to defraud members by providing a legit looking service like signature campaign management, escrow service, currency exchange etc. then pull off an exit scam once they have got a huge amount

Price is 0.5 BTC, really? Are we back to the days of 2013 or earlier?  Grin

So the 0.5 BTC offer for any trusted account is unreal. Seller is a scammer.  Smiley

For some reason, They can use your account to promote a project that looks like legit and since you have a good reputation here, The project reputation will increased too which is good on attracting potential investors until they exit scam and take away those money.

But 0.5BTC is indeed over price but the valuation of trusted forum account is very high if you can check on playerup website.  Cheesy

I can prove the ownership by signing an address
I remember that in the past they would use links or 3-party links, but what puzzles me is how he will sign a message from an address? Is it just a claim that he owns the account, or did he find a way to access one of the old addresses?

I don't think someone who would pay 0.5 Bitcoin to buy an account that need several months or years to collect it from signature campaigns.

Well sir, sometime you can find someone that would pay that amount because an account with high reputation like Hhampuz (or other one that I don't have in my mind) can cause many damage here, you can scam everyone

if you think. So, we've to always be careful about this situation and avoid every attempt of business between accounts.

You got what I perceived,  that "selling account"  guyor lady is a pure scammer, and he or she (who ever he or she is) is not just out to scam but to also ruin the reputation of some popular names on this forum, good thing he did not succeed with either of the two, and I guess he or she is already banned since all his posts are now deleted.

We can't tag if a newbies post sell thread for a high ranked accounts. We can tag only seller account BTW.
You can find an high rank posting a account selling ad because they know they will be tagged, the person would rather create a new account and use it for account selling advertisements.

He has created 5 related topics already in days.
Since the user's posting history was wiped off. Here is the archive of what he posted: Post History

He claimed to have ownership of bL4nkcode, Docnaster, Royse777, pawel7777

I mean, who in their right mind would buy a tagged account for 0.5 BTC?  Grin

I have reported the account some hours ago, through the report link on each thread he created. I know he is fake when he posted that he wants to sell Royse777's account. Hope moderator will delete his account sales topics as fast as possible.

Scam post/thread cant be moderated by the admin. So, I doubt that there is any chance to be posted the topic which has been posted by the user called Selling account.
Good news it that the account was nuked

At first glance I thought this might be some random jackass trying to get revenge on bL4nkcode by posting an account sales thread, thinking bL4nkcode's account would get tagged, but then I pulled up his profile and was reminded of his involvement in that charity thing (which never was resolved if I'm not mistaken).  I'd forgotten all about that.  It might actually be bL4nkcode trying to get some sucker to buy his ruined account, since he probably has no intention of ever being active here again.
I think it's just some scammer or troll trying to sell random accounts.

I mean, what could stop a person like bL4nkcode from joining 1xbit scam signature campaign  that pays red tagged accounts if he really needed some quick cash.

And yeah, it isn't going to do any good to tag the account that started the sales thread, since it's probably carrying out the only purpose it was created for.

OP, thanks for alerting the community of this.  I'm not tagging anyone, but if there was some evidence of an established member selling an account or a known account up for sale, I would definitely do so.  And thanks for refreshing my memory of that misuse of charity money thing.  Anyone got any info on that, as in updates?

Also creating scam accusation and negative trust is fast procedure while deleting from admin/moderator might take long time (though there is almost no chance of being deleted scam post).
It is not bad to give such person a negative trust, but though the account seems like one the user do not care for.

But left to other members, if truly the account do not belong to the original users, negative trust should be the best reward, even bitcointalk account sales should be discharged.

clearly a fake offer just like what Charles-Tim. also, even if it is really bL4kcode who posted it I think he'd realize that no one in their right mind would buy an account that has a valid negative tag even if the account is legendary.

anyway, I wonder what the "02" is all about. aside from bL4nkcode all the username of the other legendary account is wrong.
