a negative tag would most likely be the reasonable punishment for this. none of what he did is bannable so I doubt he'll get banned for it.

Not just that cheating of forum translation
regarding the "cheating forum translation", I am assuming you are accusing him of using a translator. it is possible that the guy can also speak Danish, maybe you should consult a forum member who knows how to speak Danish and proofread the translation he did.

He intentionally decided to do translation into Danish because that local board lacks forum members. If you check that board, it's very rare to see a new post every month. It's hard to find real Danish people here; maybe looking outside the forum would help.

Locking the thread now to avoid duplicate discussion. I know moderator moved this topic here at reputation board.

I won't move this topic to archival so that our post here will count towards your signature campaign quota.

Found this user replying to this own post with his alt. For what purpose? Cheating signature quota. It's obvious that this user struggling with his post count quota. And for the sake of it he will reply to his own post. Not just that cheating of forum translation, contest and giving merit to own his alt account.

I don't want to defend anyone, but I see you are very obsessed with these two accounts. you published it on the reputation board then it was deleted by the OP and you created a separate thread with the same post. and now you bring it here with the aim of getting the user banned.
Maybe you have had personal problems with these accounts in the past.

Account ban provisions have been created. If you can't find proof that both accounts deserve to be banned, it won't be possible.

There is no rule to ban account because they are alts, quote each other.

If you think they are alts, cheat in a campaign, you can report it to the campaign manager and the manager will decide. You already opened an accusation thread in Reputation board, that's enough.

These accounts if they are alts, will not be banned because of what you reported. They will only be banned if you can find proof that they made ban evasion.

25. Ban evasion (using or creating accounts while one of your accounts is banned) is not allowed.[e]

Funny enough, if I were a moderator, I wouldn't be banning anyone at this time in the forum for reasons like this. I am not even sure that people are being banned again in the forum. With the rate people are leaving the forum, I think moderators are more lenient this time than before.
Besides the offense in OP if true can only result in a red tag and not ban. Also, issuing red tags should be done only when it is absolutely necessary. Let's see if the coming bull run can help us recover traffic and enthusiasm in the forum.

There is already rules for that-
18. Having multiple accounts and account sales are allowed, but account sales are discouraged.
So having alt account is not breaking the rules of forum nor they should be banned. But you can't abuse this for account farming. Those who are doing this kind of stuff their goal is to enter the accounts on signature campaign,
And here I think if
they are tagged by account farmer then I think the problem will solved because they can't entered in any signature camapign with the valid negative trust feedback from the dt members.

They should be tagged and not banned, and as I have seen the response of @Plaguedeath in the post you have created in the Reputation board, they have been cheating signature campaigns with their alts if it is proven that it is the same person behind those accounts. So DT members should tag the accounts for cheating if other offenses aren't good enough for them to leave negative feedback.

This is not a bannable offence. It doesn't exactly break at forum rules directly, but being unethical it is frowned upon as well as sending merits to oneself and gets negative feedback as a result.

We had a user a couple of years back who used this to fish for merits. He made posts with his alts asking questions he had already prepared the answer to on his main account. He was always the first to reply and got a couple of merits for the effort, till the ploy was busted and the account was red tagged.

Can't it be their friends, spouse, sibling, parents, grand parents. Still it's two person and you can not prove that they are not because there are no KYC. On this forum it's very common. There are campaign managers who have their friends account [or alt or their relatives but you can not prove] where they are replying each others. If you are asking to ban then many of the members will be banned for doing it.
