If ever, I suggest that she use btc addresses that are sign message capable since it can help on the recovery of account if ever it was hacked by someone. It will ease account recovery if ever a similar scenario happens again in the near future. All she needs to do is to sign a message in her btc address, then pm it to theymos.

You should move (click bottom-left of this page) this this thread to Meta, and read Recovering hacked accounts or accounts with lost passwords.

After changing the email address, she should have received an email which she can use to lock the account. This disables it for the thief.
