Thanks! The only on known factor then is  when exactly the 2 week periods start.
It is not. Read the thread linked above.

Apparently , the activity changes every 1210000 units of the UNIX timestamp.
Here is a list of all the ACCURATE start dates of the 14 day periods till 2060 !
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/12saLhlUoqIdairxzuSPu6EYGrt7FN2lOstO1yDjCEbA
The current period started at 1456840000 and runs until 1458050000
Now you just take a tool like this (or take the date from the sheet, that works aswell).
And you get:
Tue, 01 Mar 2016 13:46:40 GMT
Tue, 15 Mar 2016 13:53:20 GMT

If the statement above is true, my activity increasing from 6 to 26 makes no sense, does it?
EDIT: it jumped to 34 now. I still don't get how exactly this thing works.
Activity is updated in a timeframe up to an hour (maybe even more).
If you make a lot of posts in a short time with potential activity available, it still can take some time before that activity is added on your account.

FAQs of the Activity system

Q : How is activity calculated ?
The activity number is determined in this way:
time = number of two-week periods in which you've posted since your registration
activity = min(time * 14, posts)

Q : Help ! My activity (or rank) has not activated yet , even though I have sufficient posts and have posted in sufficient time periods !

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
Outdated. It occasionally takes much longer to update, but still an hour on average
Hi Lutpin can you help me link that threa

I haven't used my account that much and had an activity of 6. I then started to post more this week but the user activity got stuck at 26.

I would like to know how the ranking system for an account works? I'm a member now, how can I promote?

Thank you in advance!

It takes time.

You'll gain 14 activity every 14 days as long as you post at least 14 times during those 14 days.

The "ranking system" is based on total "activity" level.

If the statement above is true, my activity increasing from 6 to 26 makes no sense, does it?

EDIT: it jumped to 34 now. I still don't get how exactly this thing works.
