Total number of Bitcoin accounts with balance greater than 1 USD are 5,499,594. Let's assume them to be owned by active users.
An average Bitcoin user would have 5 accounts.

So I would say that there are around 1.1 million users of Bitcoin.

I think no one can determine the actual number of people who use bitcoin. Becouse it so anonimously and one person could be have more than one wallet.
It's only estimate is what we are doing now, it is important when we are an investor as the data is vital for us to make a good prediction and hopefully we can predict it right, as long as the price will rise then it's simply but definitely timing is important.

There's no way to find to indicate the actual number of people using the Bitcoin. Rapidly changed using the internet and anyone can easily access.

Yeah its not important to indicate actual numbers because there's survey for that users. For me its infinite because numbers of user are getting higher all the time. Popularity of bitcoin open a lot oppurtunity to people worldwide thats why numbers if user are gettting bigger.
There's no such thing like "Infinite numbers of user" because human's population is not infinite and will never reach infinite. It's right that you can't get the exact numbers of bitcoin users but there may some method to make a prediction of the actual number of bitcoin users which is near to the real numbers and maybe it will eventually discovered

You are asking like how many strands of hair do you have in your head,
it is possible to know but it takes time and a lot of effort because while you
are counting your hair there is another strand that will grow and die/lose at the same time.

Just like the people that is using Bitcoin as of now, Your post for me is valid and doable.

This thing is really true, asking the actual number of people who are using bitcoin is so difficult to figure it out
like this situation of counting your hair who grow and die at the same time.

greeat synonym. i read article in " 2015 Total Users Bitcoin 10 Million People, This data from Statistics Most Informative Wallet Virtual Money Coinbase.com and Blockchain.Info. "  i think like calculate how many grains of sand on the beach

Probably there are ways to get a good approximation for this, but the number of wallets in Blockchain is not the best way to get this number, since many users have multiple wallets, and many services create a very large number of wallets. I believe that surveys and statistical analysis would be necessary.

Is there a way to determine the number of people who are actually using Bitcoin till date? Who would have access to such information? Meaning a way to find out, how many new people have used Bitcoin in 2016 , so that we can say exponential growth is natural not artificially created by hoarders.

yes maybe there is, conduct some surveys, ask some information, make some statistical report or maybe some questionnaires But honestly it is very hard to determine it. Because it actually need a longer time to determine he actual number of users used bitcoin

I doubt someone can know the actual number of people using bitcoin. Almost countries are now engage in btc so there's a lot. They can estimate but not the exact population. I just know as we count the years of bitcoin, as time passes our population is getting bigger.

This question has been asked I think for several times, but still I will share my side, Actually it will be very difficult to trace the actual number of people using bitcoin. Why? it is because some of the member in bitcoin world/ crypto world don't have one account only instead they have multiple accounts, therefore in that case it will be a problem to determine it.

I think there's a lot of people who uses bitcoin, especially now that the technology is getting brighter and more high tech. There are a lot of people still learning about Bitcoin every day, maybe through transactions, other people, etc. Maybe other people just doesn't use it because of the possible scams also. There are a lot of close-minded people that just don't want to research what Bitcoin is.
yes in every person has their own thoughts and view, but to me i think every one has to accept the fact that in last every one has to accept bitcoin as one of the best digital currency of the world.

When right time comes every one will be supposed to use bitcoin as a digital currency or as a earning source in which very big amounts can be invested. Other than this using it as an alternate solution for banking needs make it more popular.

Give the rest of the world time, if there is one thing i have learnt about bitcoin in all my time here is that people will learn and come around to bitcoin when it either almost too late or already is too late for their economy.

Looking at the statistic in blockchain, there are 146M addresses with >0 BTC. This will be the upper limit.

As we know, almost all bitcoin users have more than 1 address with >0 BTC; I myself have at least 50 addresses with balance >0 BTC. Some enthusiasts and organizations have thousands of these addresses. My guess is that we are still <1 million users, but not far from that.
This is the most logical way to get a range of how many users there really are.
I guess that's a good number already. My suggestion also, is try to check if the number of users are moving or not. I am pretty sure it's moving, so it's a great sign that we will increase in terms of number and the demand will follow.

Like this way you cannot guess or give any statistical way of giving how many users are their in this world who are using bitcoin and even then what is the use of getting this status until bitcoin is not in the mainstream of business world. We are not even 1% users of the total world population.
