I think it's not possible to estimate the exact number of people using bitcoin because bitcoin is completely decentralized money and it's anonymous and real life info is not taken while using bitcoin wallet. So it's possible to count the number. And 1 user have 1  to 10 address so obviously it's out of question

Is there a way to determine the number of people who are actually using Bitcoin till date? Who would have access to such information? Meaning a way to find out, how many new people have used Bitcoin in 2016 , so that we can say exponential growth is natural not artificially created by hoarders.

I think to determine the actual number of people using bitcoin is can be found in the exchange platform, or in the blockchain. But not precise count I think.

Not everyone trade bitcoins with other currencies also not everyone use blockchain.info
So predicting the numbers of users on these things is useless.
If I am not wrong then many Darknet websites uses Bitcoin and counting the users who use bitcoins there is nearly impossible.
So I think it's impossible to find the number of users using bitcoin , It's like counting the starts.

The number of those using bitcoin can not be determined easily, since there are no id's or addresses needed to generate a btc address therefore anyone can own any number of addresses and total number of addresses can't be useful. now much population are into bitcoins but the exact number is difficult.

I think the only factor that can help in answering is the number of address. The total number of addresses, of course, gives an upper limit for the number of possible bitcoin users although not an exact estimation since everyone has multiple addresses of course and plenty not even re-using an old address and make a new one.
Having the upper limit of the possible Bitcoin users wouldn't help at all since it would be really really far from the actual number of people using Bitcoins. The upper limit becomes irrelevant. It's just like when we say that we the lower limit is 0 and the actual number is in trillions.

Not only that people are using multiple addresses but also there are websites like gambling sites, exchange sites, and other bitcoin wallet sites that has thousands of addresses for their current and future users.

You'd just be looking at the amount of wallets then and not taking into account people who have more than one.
It's pretty much impossible to come up with a correct number of users, but here's an article that might be helpful.

In the world surely countless  users are using bitcoin, like those  who make investments, and also the people  who enjoy using it because of the easy way  that transactions can be done.

Peoples cannot be countless at all, they can be a lot but not countless, but for counting them we will need to do a lot of hard work as counting bitcoin users is not something that can be done easily because it is an anonymous thing so the users are also anonymous.

I think there is no point in knowing what number of users are using bitcoin as it will never show us the exact number and it will surely waste our time, so I think we should avoid it and continue our  journey with bitcoins.

The truth really is we don't know and can't predict on how many of us using the bitcoin and this furom is cannot be our only basis since there are some users are doesnt know about bitcointalk and mostly of them are on standby in some social media sites, so for that totally numbers are unknown and cannot be counted by any machinery existing today, and as i've see i saw numerous new people are trying to use bitcoins and that could be good since it can raise the bitcoin market.

Nobody is ever going to give you an answer to this question. People have vast numbers of bitcoin addresses, people use different IP's, not everybody involved in bitcoin will want people to know.

Impossible task to find out even an approximate number of people who currently use bitcoin.

what is the use of knowing the actual number of people using bitcoin, you could not possibly know that figure, but one thing you can figure is the amount of coins in circulation ,it is well over 15 million .so taking a census is not possible here
It's no use if you will know the exact amount of people who uses bitcoin in the whole world likes like wasting our time to count who uses bitcoin and who the most country uses bitcoin simple visit blockchain and see how many transaction are being made per hour per minutes and per seconds and you can see thats lots of pople are using bitcoins lol
It might not be important to you but for others like the investors or the traders that information is very important to them as that is their basis on their decision to invest in bitcoin and hold in the future, that is not a game for them only as they put a bigger amount that could affect their financial status.

We can't get the exact numbers of bitcoin user. But we can assume that its about millions of people around the world  used bitcoin. Bitcoin has a great opportunity to everyone who are willing to work on it. So bitcoin users are countless.

They are not countless technically, though a lot, but just because we have no sources to find the exact number of users so it is not possible to be done.
If a team makes an effort to visit all the world, every city and every corner of it to find if who is using bitcoin then maybe it will be done, otherwise no software or any other method can count them simply.

It's hard to determine how many people are using bitcoin, because the number keeps volatile. Every day, there might people who join bitcoin and left bitcoin. And I think for now there is no method that is capable of calculating it.
You got it and  im thinking the  same way too, its  impossible  for us to track how many  people are engage into bitcoin since btc itself is anonymous and  we  wont have any idea to track people  who uses it but  one things for sure, people  who are buying ,using ,trading bitcoin is  increasing  because  we cant really stop its adoption.
What is the for all of us to struggle with one impossible and useless data for finding that out. Instead of this, we might concentrate to have the statistical analysis of bitcoin adoption across countries and also bitcoin adoption by merchants. Because that might give some awareness about spreading out bitcoin to new people.

If anyone has a method to get that, please tell me :-) It'd be a hell of a job to figure out how many people are using bitcoin because the bitcoin transactions are anonym. However, you could have a rough guess from the number of people who're active in the bitcoin forums.
a good method would be to look at the average daily transactions and find out how often a bitcoin user sends a transaction and ultiply that frequenncy by the average daily number.

Yeah it is true what you say is a very good method to do. But I think now is still not the methods available, because I see all of the platform was thinking about how best to make everyone use the bitcoin and after the plan has been reached it is then they think about seeing active users using bitcoin

It will be harder and harder eventually to try to guess what's going on in the bitcoin world in terms of how much people are actively using Bitcoin. We will never know, it's as simple as that. And I say it will be getting harder not only because it will keep growing in number, but because further advancements in anonymous technology for Bitcoin will make it even harder to guess.
