If you do this you might also want to add a sticky in the new Auctions forum noting that posts are not editable, so that auction starters think carefully about how they set up the rules for their auction in the first post (since they can't edit), and so that other viewers take care to read the entire thread (and any "clarification" posts by the OP) before bidding.
