This is just one and not the ultimate way to determine if a site is a scam or not. Use other means and stay way from places promising you unrealistic profits.
What you have shared is really helpful. Additionally, these are some of the things you can do to check a website’s legitimacy.

1. URL structure when it’s unusually long, most likely it’s not a legit website. Websites that are fishy may have random characters all throughout its url.

2. Be wary of the correct domain scammers may try to create a website that is similar to an official existing one. Always check the correct domain of the official website before you proceed with what you are going to do.

These are again just some and there’s plenty more ways. Remember that scammers are getting smarter every day so should we.

Given the fact that cryptocurrency is developing and there are several tricks to steal from people's money a lot of people still fall for scams and ponzi schemes that crash everytime so you need to know how to do some basic research if you want to check for the authenticity of any website no matter how beautiful it might be built, because some of them will do a good english, no error and then will make it look all perfect but you don't know its all lies.

One thing that you can do is to use what is called the wayback machine to see how the website began. It is a tool that saves the snapshot of all the websites that are online per time. I once spotted a fake website that once belonged to a farmer at a time and they sold the domain to some scammers and when I used the tool it revealed the truth of how it all started upto when they began to build the website.

This is just one and not the ultimate way to determine if a site is a scam or not. Use other means and stay way from places promising you unrealistic profits.
