Yea, don't stress the motherboard with that much wattage. Better just spend the $70 on another cheap motherboard.
First of all, that 4-1 adapter looks like it's powered, not pulling any power from the MB. Second, that's what powered risers are for!

Yeah, I prefer 4GPUs per MoBo. This way 1000W PSU is quite enough.
PSU could be even smaller if you select your hardware carefully.
Allso that kind of splitter costs +70$ and you will need risers too plus
another PSU so the costs climb over 200$ easily.

When you look it like that, it doesn't make any sense to buy such a splitter.
Because the cost of additional cpu,mb+memory is around 100$.

So by investing +300$ you get one new rig without the problems and hassles.

just get a new motherboard with more slots, you'll have less hassles
also, check the boards/threads, i don't think any OS lets you run more than 6 and i think most people only have success with up to 5 cards per motherboard
do more research before you buy a bunch of those splitter things

This is what I am talking, I should be able to daisy chain with this card right? The next question, by omitting power supply in this case, what's the max graphics card can I use, 16?

There are a lot posting or youtube regarding extending or raising the graphics card from the motherboard with PCIe raiser cable for better ventilation.

I am not sure anybody ask this question before, Say, my motherboard has only 3 PCIe slots, is there card that I can support extra (the forth) card?
