We shouldn't have a dedicated ASIC subforum yet, because it would be almost entirely FUD Roll Eyes

Well, because FPGAs are simply destroyed.

ASIC goes in here too.
Should rename to FPGA/ASIC

Take it up with Theymos.

What if the Code changes, then the ASIC will be destroyed Smiley FPGA is more universal thus the higher price. ASIC = very high risk.

People keep talking about this. The code hasn't changed so far, so why do people keep thinking it will? Protocol changes can be made without affecting the ASIC, but as long as it's based on SHA256, nothing is going to come along and "destroy" and ASIC's viability for mining.

I think we should just do all transactions by hand, and train pigeons to broadcast them. It might not be the most efficient way in terms of mh/j, but hey, better than no Bitcoin, eh?

Hey,we can get Mike Tyson to be our spokesperson then  Grin

I read somewhere that THIS ASIC gets 10 TH/s....unfortunately it doesn't warm your Coffey, but rather it warms 'the kitty'...

LOL.

BEST POST EVER !

Thanks for the laughs man. You are EPIC !

Actually forget about this thread. Asics will fail hard.

FPGAs destroyed, ASICs will fail hard, GPUs too inefficient....so what's left ? CPU Mining FTW !
Where I did said that GPUs are too inefficient? They will be main hashing speed for years, ands rest will be fpgas and asics(?).

Could you show me the picture of a working ASIC mining chip please?
