Many porn seems started accepting bitcoin as a payment. I am not sure why other business not implementing bitcoin payment gateway in their site while this kind adult site already working on it.

Few months before we heard that pornhub seems accepted bitcoin for adult cam usage. Now another one. Soon Youporn and other sites will joins the party.

Youporn, youjizz, xhamster and the thing i do like the most is familystrokes. lol Adoption do really takes time but i dont see that someone would spend out actively their bitcoin with porn yet

we can watch porn for free on the net without the need of spending our coins. It might be limited access but atleast those videos could still help us to go through the climax.  Cool

The problem is you have to convince 2 things. First, convince people to pay for pornography when they can find most things online for free. Second, convince people to use their Bitcoin to pay for the porn. It's a big hassle I think and that's why it hasn't taken off. Or maybe demographics of porn payers are just not Bitcoin users?

Those two things are actually quite a bit easier than you might think. Many people pay for porn, especially when it comes to live cam websites like camsoda.com, chaturbate.com, and even bitcoinporncams.com...

Hassle? Isn't the whole point of Bitcoin that it should be easy to use and spend? If I were going to pay for porn I would much rather use my Bitcoin than a credit card. No need to worry about giving out personal details, or sketchy recurring charges.

It gladdens my heart to hear that another porn site is ready to accept crypto currency as an exchange for its services. I think many of such sites will help familiarize others about the use of cryptos.

Paying with bitcoin is considered easier and more popular in various countries. Paying for pornographic services is confidential so that bitcoin is seen as more suitable for payment of their service transactions and more secure. unfortunately I can't access the porn web except with PVN. Grin

who the fuck pays for porn? like seriously
I was going to ask the same question and I doubt anyone will say that pay to watch pornography
New to porn? Tell you what:
The best porn videos out there are only available for members with subscription since most of them were produced by high-budget studios/producers.
Also, most free videos are either stolen contents by uploaders or "short previews" of a full video.

Short previews commonly consists of bundled 10-20 seconds scenes of the whole video, you will not enjoy it as "porn is all about the plot"  Smiley

Most people who watch porn on the free "tube"-like website really don't care of the content is stolen or not.
I think the main selling point of porn, would be the fact that video's are fully available in HD, and indeed, not just short clips.

That said, free porn will also get you there Wink And at least you do not have buyers remorse after you've...

For such activities, of course, there is no better solution than cryptocurrencies.I do wonder why the cryptocurrency began its activity not from porn. Grin

One simple advantage of cryptos in using as a means of payment for pornography compared to other methods like credit card and paypal is the anonymity. Both the payer and the receiver can have complete anonymity.

I do think that the anonymity that it involves is the one reason that crypto usage can be consider. Owners of porno businesses would also like to protect whatever goes on there including amount and who subscribe for a watching fun time Grin

Porn may have the power to demonstrate the best format for payments using the internet. Just like it was in the 1980s with the war between VHS and Betamax. Both the payer and the receiver can have complete anonymity.

Also, they picked Verge instead of BTC. Of course it's a slower adoption. I don't use Verge, don't know anyone else that does!
But their website has this:
Bitcoin BTC, Ethereum [ETH], Litecoin [LTC] and Monero [XMR] accepted for payments by adult site CamSoda.

He's talking about PornHub's accepted cryptocurrencies as a response to jak3's comparison to PornHub.

@mjglqw I guess people really don't do market research when it comes to crypto. It's so funny to meet shills from Tron or whichever online and then asking them how they use their coin.

Yep. And you'd think PornHub, a multi-billion dollar business, would know better. 🤦 A very very rookie mistake, if anything. It's such a noobie mistake that I'm heavily leaning on PornHub actually being paid by these projects to accept their coins.

CamSoda is trying to grab their chances on crypto payments for there live cam sites. as we know some months ago PornHub also tried accepting crypto payments but then found out it was only 1 percent of their total earning was paid through crypto's but they are still a very optimist about cryptos. but CamSoda is going for it as it is a live cam which is more likely to get monthly subscriptions too.
This kind of services will really help the adoption of cryptocurrency by common people. Maybe not all people love gambling, but I'm sure all people love adult content. That's why, the more adult sites to use crypto as their payment choices mean the more people will know that cryptocurrency is. By the way, what crypto they accept?

@nc50lc Yeah, well Verge and other alts as mjglqw kindly lists (Tron and Zencash). I get if they wanted to stick to a privacy coin but the smart move would still have been Bitcoin, and then Monero if they really wanted a serious privacy alternative. You adopt anything other than BTC and you should expect nothing. Of all 3 coins PH accepted, no one I know owns it, much less uses it.

@Slowdeath Sorry I was referring to PH, in response to the pron pioneer of crypto, so to speak. I can't see how this site can compete but Bitcoin first is the right way for crypto payments!

Not only Verge, but also Tron and ZenCash. Like Jeebus. They would've at least done their research on what crypto to accept for potentially higher buy volume; but nooo, they most likely took sponsorships from these shitcoins instead of actually implementing the cryptocurrency that's actually being used. 🤦

It's great to know that CamSoda have accepted the challenge, Pornhub should have not given up in the first place, because cryptocurrency and porn industry is more compatible because of the anonymity of Cryptocurrency, but we'll see how CamSoda can succeed where Pornhub failed, time will come when the majority of porn sites will use cryptocurrency, because of their compatibility.

I do not know, but perhaps cryptocurrencies are becoming more valuable than being spent in such useless sites.
Everyone uses it as a store of value/trading rather than spending it on purchases.
Also, I think a lot of sites require confirmation of identity "ID/age verification" so the feature of anonymity is not attractive.

Just let it be yet they do made such decision on adopting such payment option. If it didnt work out on Pornhub then it do possibly work on them(no one knows).

Good thing here is that we do see that theres a gradual adoptation of crypto into these kind of industries and for those cryptoenthusiast who do love live cams then this option
would give some comfort.  Grin

Wait, they picked Verge as the sole payment option for crypto and they dubbed it "We're Accepting Crypto"?
Who the hell uses verge other than for day trading, <1% of the crypto community  Lips sealed
They should make it Bitcoins (also ETH) and it will grow beyond 50%, if not, about a quarter percentage.

I think the reason why they only get 1% of crypto payment it's because most of their videos are free and they don't need to pay for the subscription because they can also find the video to other free sources.
Linking the free videos to the percentage wasn't correct, it never contribute to their total sales thus, will not affect the percentage of crypto earnings.

Maybe in illegal child porno there are many anonymous user use crypto to buy illegal porn videos.

Anyway, this is my first time to heard this site CamSoda Porn live cam it looks like the same as nakedbitcoins.com but in the end they are not success with this business.

1% is a huge ass number, and this was in Q3 2018. Things could have picked up since, considering that it took online pron a few years to figure out a way for people to even spend their cash online. Think they even branched out to mobile payments and sms charges for people who couldn't get credit cards, before trying out all manner of digital money. I think crypto was just one more step too far because of how all their webshops are set up, not to mention how difficult  it would be for them to track actual leads for affiliate programming (how do you ensure each BTC referral is unique, for example?).

Say PH Makes 10 mill a month (and I'm sure they make that easily), 1% in crypto is a lot of money.

Well, we know that "sex" sells and the market of porn is getting bigger and bigger everyday...even bigger than Hollywood is. Now, porn and cryptocurrency has the potential to be good friends as many porn customers may want to be anonymous or private in dealing with their favorite sites. Let's see if Camsoda can be able to attract customers who are to use cryptocurrency in their transactions.
