"Nigeria is not ready to give up it naira"
well, the eco (which is also a short term for currency which will soon be adopted the 15 economic community of west African states.
i think this will help strenthen Africa economy and enhance regional trade within these countries thereby creating more opportunities to the citizen.
The will also help to loosen french dormination over africa
In regard's to Nigeria, i think they have nothing to lose because the current currency has been messed up under bad & corrupt leader's like Babagida,Abacha,Buhari ...
immagine the equivalent of Naira to GBP & dollar back in 1978 and today what is the equiv?

I've heard so much about this new currency implementation, the more I hear the less I understand. According to some experts Nigeria is not ready to give up it naira, considering Eco having most of its monetary policy measures in Munich and Paris, some says Nigeria surrendering it's currency means surrendering it's sovereignty. I need someone to enlighten me on the advantages of the new currency and the disadvantages.
